Summary: i have used McAfee for years and this one has me stumped. It did not come with a disc, only a number. It tells me an internet address to go to for installation, but when I get there, they just want to sell me what I I already have and want to install. I kept looking and searching for an installation site and the closest I came was when they asked me foe McAfee ID, password and product number. They then told me that it was incorrect and turned me away.
Excerpt: I switched from Norton to McAfee because it was cheaper and now I know why. My computer has been incredibly slow since I started using this product. It seems like it's constantly scanning my computer in the background so the applications I need to use are running slow. Then it changed all my internet preferences and made Yahoo my search engine. I tried to change my internet preferences back to what I want, but McAfee changes it back to Yahoo every day.
Summary: I was all excited to find this product on Amazon. When I tried to download the files from McAfee on my dad's PC, it said there was trouble with the download. So I tried it again and still got an error message. Now it won't let me download it correctly because it says the product key is already being used. On the PC where I was running the download, it updated the end date, so it looks like the update worked correctly.
Summary: I should have researched this product better. It was highly rated on some PC geek sites, however, it is not a CD install. The box only contains a card with a code on it to enter on the McAfee website to do a download install. It wouldn't install on my laptop. I had to call for tech support AND THEY took CONTROL of my computer REMOTELY to do the install, even though I said I wanted to return the product--they just forged ahead.
Lousy customer support. if you have an existing McAfee Enterprise Product Avoid Buying or You'll Get The Run Around

Summary: Thought it'd be an easy installation. 20 minutes? It's been two days and the tech support and attitude of tech support is cold. It seems like they're in a hurry to get me off the phone? Got VirusScan Enterprise on the computer while in the service, however, since I bought the new product I can't get this old stuff off the computer and I can't get any assistance from McAfee. I ready to return this garbage.

Summary: Am unable to register and activate this item after over two weeks. Cannot get an answer over the chat line and have tried calling at least 10 times only to get a busy signal at both customer assistance and the tech service. The only reason I cant return this item is because unfortunately wrote the date of receipt on he item folder before I started to try and download the retail card number which h=obviously hasn't been accepted.
Summary: If I could give this zero stars, I would. I purchased this item in anticipation of my new PC being delivered. When I got my PC, the very first thing I did was instal this item. Not even 5 hours later I had a virus which caused about 20 ads to pop open whenever I opened a browser. I ran multiple virus scans and McAfee told me there were no problems. I eventually had to uninstall Windows and reinstall it along with all my other programs; which took 6 hours.
