Cons: This is a download item. I ordered it last week and get it 10 days later due to the busy in holiday. No enclosed "Product Key Card" in hard paper card of Mcfee Internet Security 2014 . It is blank at the position of the card, after the seal is openned. So it looks like a false production. What a security! I only bought a UPC barcode MIS14EBF3RAA for 7-xxxxxxxxx-0. So bad.
Summary: well, McAfee is not bad. personally i think Kaspersky internet security is better. cause i used mcafee for a month or so and when i turn back to Kaspersky internet security it noticed more vulnerablities.
Summary: McAfee charged me without authorization on renewal, but luckily I got them to credit my card. I have been trying unsuccessfully to remove this program completely from my computer. Can anyone help me? 405-282-4056. If you call McAfee for removal help they put you on hold then cut you off. Their cust. reps do not speak English very well or they pretend that you said "I want to renew my account".
Summary: You will not be able to get hold of customer service no matter what.
You will be put on automatic renewal of your credit card info however.
The refund people at McAfee will attempt to find a reason not to give you the rebate even if you qualify. The program does not load easily, and usually will install in only two of your three computers. Basically, you'll need to return this crappy program and order "Windows Live One Care" like I did. McAfee sucks!
Summary: I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to these security packages. I want something easy to install that keeps the computer safe and isn't too intrusive (as in, I don't have to see a new "Danger Will Robinson" popup every time I log on).
I tried out McAfee's 2008 Internet Security Suite and for the most part am pleased. Installation was easy, up until it asks you to uninstall any previous security software. That's do-able, but not what I was planning.
Summary: It provides constant updates which is good, but slows down my computer. I used to have Norton and did a review of antivirus options out there, hearing that McAfee was better. I've noticed that McAfee is slower than Norton on my computer. I think I'm going to go back to Norton when this expires.
