Summary: On a windows 7 PC the only way I could get back Internet access back was to uninstall it. I tried stopping it through Msconfig and services but it still interfered. Once uninstalled everything works again.
Cons: It interferes with Internet access. Support is horrible to nonexistant unless you want to speak to some foreigner with an accent you cant understand who reads from a prepared speech that has nothing to do with your problem.
Cons: This product was install over a year ago and was replaced with another produce because it failed to perform as advertised, i.e fail to stop malware. Last month a charge of $99 was on the credit card for an automatic renew Kaspersky. Not the way to do business, we were unsuccessful in reversing the credit card charge. Buyer beware.
Cons: After the Total version I was put onto Pure 2.0 and several viruses got through, plus the use of the network control would never function well (I have a couple of youngsters still that need supervision). When I went to Pure 3.0 (about half way through a 3 year 3-pc subscription) I was able to install on my main pc, but could not get it onto 2 others, and uninstalling the bits and pieces of 3.0 from those machines to get 2.0 back on took upwards of 20 hours, time I don...
Summary: There were issues with 8.1 due to install conflicts, now it works fine. I ordered the it the 9/29/13 and submitted the $55 rebate 10/01/13 and got the mail in rebate check 12/5/13, 2 months after I submitted it. Perfectly by the end of the 2.5 month wait period the MiR company said to wait. I paid $60, then -$55 from the rebate, I paid $5. Not bad for a I/S software. Dope.
Summary: I recommend the software, but using newegg cheap shipping is terrible and frustrated. I'm lucky this is not motherboard or video cards.
Pros: This is great software for pc protection. I use it for many years now.
Cons: The shipping is terrible. It takes a whole week to ship from Industry, CA to San Jose, CA. The reason is that they shipped to the wrong city region. The package comes damage the box. It looks really bad. I'm frustrated.
Summary: Right now, I am in the process of getting a full refund from Kaspersky. I have used their Internet Security suite for years with NO issues. They changed something in Pure that makes it totally restrictive. Back to KIS 2013 for me.
Pros: Sleek looking interface.
Cons: Where to start. First off, my Nero Burning ROM 12.5 ceased to burn anything...CD/DVD/Blu Ray. Lead in/Lead Out and failed burns 100% of the time. Disable Pure and burns were successful
Summary: I've been using Kaspersky on multiple machines for about 3 years. Support in the past was decent. This latest incident has sent me on a quest for a better solution. I'm evaluating other vendor's products, with an eye on replacing Kaspersky on all 5 computers in the house.
Pros: The software works well on our 2 laptops running Vista.
Cons: I had trouble with it on an older machine running XP Pro. It worked for a while, then quit after an auto update. Kaspersky support was terrible. They didn't read my emails carefully, resulting in several weeks of back & forth rehashing the same stuff. I finally gave up and installed a spare Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 license.
