Pros: Virus Signature Database and detection is the best. I have multiple computers with different Anti-Virus on each, and every risky download (Torrent, Warez) gets scanned by each with Kaspersky all alone on the catch all list. Configuration is simpler than any I have tried. Have never encountered so...
Ignore the bad reviews, or at least research it further.

Summary: After advocating free for many a year, I came to the conclusion that free anti-virus was just not worth the risk. Running beautifully on XP pro/Core Duo 2.4/4gb RAM
Pros: Full Suite of protection. This took the place a several free programs. Runs well, doesn't suck my processes, have not had any issues. It WILL catch things other free anti-virus programs miss.
Cons: A little complicated on the install, but considering all it does, I can live with it. Notifications and such can be annoying, but it learns quickly. If you aren't techy, invite your nearest geek over for dinner and ask them to install it for you. (note: GeekSquad does not neccesarilly=geek)
Summary: The previous reviewer may work for Sy******. I had significant probelems with their No***n internet security software blowing up my internet connection and my e-mail delivery, so I switched to Kaspersky two years ago with no regrets (so far).
Pros: Antivirus and firewall work great, one of the few internet security packages left with a banner ad blocker.
Summary: I'm primarily going to mention some warnings on this software. I work for an internet service provider, and every call we receive by someone who has this software, we have them disable this and their internet works fine.
Summary: If you dig on manufactures web site you will find a link to download version KIS 2010. Your KIS 2009 license will also work for KIS 2010. KIS 2010 also includes more protections, including a safe mode. It basically runs any program you choose in its own bubble of space.
Pros: I have been in the IT consulting business for over 13 years and this is the best solution on the market currently. It has it all and more. Just used it on a Corp edition Norton pc that was not getting fixed, hooked up that HDD externally to a PC that had AVG on it and got that pc infected. Hooked...
Cons: Does not have something like AVG’s link scanner for search engines. But you are protected, just would be nice to have a red flag next to bad links.
Cons: BUT and this is a big but, renewing my license was a terrible was of money as they charged me and did NOT send a serial number, tried and tried to contact them, got NOTHING, its been a month and I consider that lost money. Horrible customer care and I will never do business with that company again.
