Best value security suite

Summary: Great protection with this, but you'll want to stack it with an anti-malware program for full protection. This is true of most anti-virus suites really. A good free program to stack with this for on demand anti-malware scans (must manually designate when to scan) is Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
Pros: The detection rates and protection on this suite have been rated up there with the best. Alls wells so far with a few months usage on 3 computers. I caught it on special sale so that it was FREE after rebate (which I did receive and cash-in). But having used it for awhile now I'd say it's worth paying for.
Cons: I had a bit of difficulty installing in on an old winXp computer, but Kaspersky customer service was patient in emailing me back and forth until the issue was resolved. So I don't know if you can really call that a con, haha. :D I had to remove remnants of some previous anti-virus programs that were interferring with Kaspersky's online registration.
Pros: Personally over the last five years I've used some form of Kaspersky Internet security,, including 2014.. All I have to say every experience I've had with it has always been positive. One of the major items that I really appreciate and searches for is root kits! My computer contained a lot of music, and somewhere out there there are still 56 Sony published titles which still contains root kits. I totally agree with some of the comments that you do have to work with a ...
Cons: have to agree, receiving rebates takes way too long! But I got mine and that's all accounts..this past year since our relationship with Russia is started the fizzle, I began to have my concerns the possibility of a corrupted bby them but so far the American offices in California seem to support the system.last it's not quite so perfect for certain types of hi Jack search engines!
Pros: works just fine and holds unwanted stuff from the Internet away from your PC. It has the best virus detection capabilities out there.
Cons: 2014 version is too heavy and slow. Its start up time is unacceptable, especially with SSD Harddrive. So, 20-60 seconds from login all doors in your system are wide open! Firewall is offline too. I hope they fix this major issue some day.
Summary: Be prepared to wait many months to get your rebater. It took mine 4 months. The software let through malware on several occasions. It was really tough to get rid of it so be aware it's not perfect. Unlike others who said it bogged down their system I did not have that issue and I am only running an older dual core processor. Have used Kaspersky for years with varying rates of success. I suggest you have several layers of protection installed to protect your system.
Pros: Doesn't slow down my dual core processor noticeably. Stops most malware. Cheap with free rebate offer.
Cons: This is good software but not perfect. Things get through.
Excerpt: Well I have been a fan of Kaspersky Internet Security since I am using it, 2011, 2012 and 2013. Obviously I am enough satisfied with the service and hence I bought the 2014 too. But this time during installation I faced a lot of problem. It was a 3 user software which was easily installed in the first two PCs but during the installation in the 3rd PC the setup was stopping again and again.
