Summary: I've used Kaspersky for going on three years now and it's by far the best all-around AV I've used. 2011 is just a refined 2010, but they got everything right, so it didn't really need to break new ground.
Pros: From my experience, Kaspersky is very efficient above all else. It's not a huge resource hog like most others out there. Mcaffe and Norton were cumbersome and slow, at least they were in the past, in fairness I haven't used them in a few years. The first year I used this software, I had a bunch o...
Cons: Well, oddly enough it would've cost me $45 to renew my 2010 version with Kaspersky, so I just ordered this and with the free shipping it was really a steal.
Summary: If Kaspersky redid their customer support site and website - along with making customer support more reachable - then they would be unstoppable. Yet unfortunately as Microsoft set the example, getting support from any software company can be a nightmare because they force you to 1) Find the hidden...
Pros: I have been using this and other security products by Norton, McAfee, AVG, Trend Micro, etc. When a virus spread through different PC's Kaspersky was the only one to catch it with all of them updated. It is why we switch to Kaspersky Internet Security. It still gives less false positives and catc...
Cons: Their rebates take months to get. Otherwise - its a great product. I do wish they would redesign the interface a bit. I am not saying its bad - but its not great for a person who is not tech savy trying to make changes, for example, to let remote desktop work. The 2011 version is better at this -...
Summary: Kaspersky 2011 is far superior to Norton and McAfee in my experience. And for the price, I will be getting more next time they are Shell Shockers.
Pros: I bought this product because there were some issues with AVG 2011. Using the 2010 AVG I was unable to remove some spyware, Kaspersky 2011 handled them with no problem, my PC is now clean. Very impressed. The Shell Shocker price of $ 9.99 made this a no brainer.
Cons: The only con is that I did not get one for each computer...only one license per box. But for the price, I cannot complain.
Pros: Works great....not intrusive at all. Uses very little memory and runs in background slowly but steadily scanning computer. I recommend to all my customers. In fact about the only customers without viruses are the ones that already have kaspersky installed.
Pros: Plain and simple, this is the best anti-virus on the market. If you don't believe me, read reviews in numerous PC magazines. Extremely thorough, if this one doesn't catch the virus, nothing else will. What I also like about it is that if there's a new malware out, these guys are the first with a ...
Cons: Can be intrusive if you choose that option. But you can switch to a lighter setting. Hard on older computers (single-core), slows everything down. The 2011 version though has a NEW search engine that is very fast and easier on the resources.
Summary: If you suspect you have a virus that your anti-virus program isn't eradicating, ditch it and get Kaspersky. And get it from NewEgg. I couldn't find it cheaper anywhere.
Pros: Kaspersky nailed pre-existing rootkits and trojans (including RATS) during installation that other anti-virus programs missed or were disabled by. An initial FULL scan only took 10 minutes. The computer shut down and restarted swiftly after installation and virus quaranteens. Previously used anti...
Cons: None so far. If any are found, they will have to be real "show-stoppers" to put me off this program after it resuscitated a computer impossible to do much with do to viruses.
A great piece of software that does the protection but is not noticeable...just what I want

Excerpt: Nowadays we hold a lot of our memories and lives on our home computers with the likes of our photos, videos, music and social network information all something we either look at or use on a regular basis.
Excerpt: After being a Norton user for more than five years (I got a discount through a job) I decided I was getting a little tired of some annoying issues I was continuing to have them. Though there virus protection was good, there were too many false-positives, meaning that it was quarantining a safe file...
