Pros: A very nice quick and accurate way to scan and fix your computer up from issues that slow your system down. It works Great.. I have Norton 360 which is also suppose to do this, but AVG found all kinds of things that Norton did not. Bottom Line - Get AVG PC TuneUp, you will not be disappointed - It worked great foe me.
Cons: Every year you need to renew this software license
Pros: It got my computer smokin' in no time flat. I saw a definite jump in response time on my computer, and installed it in my wife’s laptop. Now she’s a happy camper. Told my brother about it, and he’s downloaded the trial version, and he’s happy with it. I’d have to say, for the novice, it’s one of the best out there, and for the more than novice, it’s a way to expand your computers potential. It’s a lot like Norton System Doctor, without all the head room problems that ...
Cons: I found it cheaper a week after I bought it. Not really a con, but it’s the best I could come up with on short notice. I do wish they’d have a way on the duplicate finder, to opt out and ignore of some directories that are backed up. It’s a pain having to go through pictures/files that you know are duplicated. But, just the same I’m getting the job done.
Cons: I bought AVG PC TuneUp 2014 from Newegg, Used it for less than a week and unstalled it. They would have to pay me to use the program. Tried to get tech support and about a month later I got a response.
Upgrades are difficult any can be quite annoying/buggy

Summary: Also take care in "deactivating" other programs under AVG to increase your CPU speed. Once you deactivate a program like Adobe Reader there is no way to manually reactivate it, you will be at the mercy of AVG to reactivate the listed deactivated programs when actually needed.
Pros: See my initial review below which was 5 stars. The removal and reinstall of this software works good without a loss of license.
Cons: I initially installed this software with the auto-update feature enabled. I will never do that again. When you first install this program be sure to uncheck the 2 boxes for auto-updates during a CUSTOM install. It is best to install the future AVG updates manually. In my first install the update pop-up window would come on in the lower right hand corner and would be impossible to remove until I agreed to update thus visually interfering with all my other work in progr...
Well-behaved, no nagware, actually does the job very well

Pros: For many years up until 2010 I used the AVG anti-virus software on all my machines and never had any problems, I trust AVG. But it seemed to me in 2010 they went "Norton" on me with their AV software and graduated into bloatware/nag mode so I switched over to Webroot AV and never looked back. For the last 3 years when it comes to tuning my Windows 7 64-bit machines for speed/efficiency I have used a collection of superior software as follows: Microsoft AutoRuns (to st...
Cons: This is one year software that will require you to pay a renewal fee after one year. If you actually read the EULA you will be scared/apprehensive to your bones. These guys can read/access anything they want on your computer and pass it on to anyone they want to... it takes a heap of trust to agree to their EULA. After reading each paragraph you begin to think the upcoming last paragraph of their EULA is going to ask for your first born child.
