The FM2T camera by Nikon is an SLR that is manually focused, being controlled mechanically and has manual control of exposure as well. It requires no batteries for operation and requires only two S76 or one 1/3N battery to power the cameras light metering, which is made up of an internal system which is center weighted and linked to an exposure control system that is center the LED exposure type.

The FM2T is composed of Titanium which is what the"T" stands for which is used for both top and bottom plates.

The exposure system uses light emitting diodes which are arranged vertically on the right side of your viewfinder, a fall back to the cameras made in the mid sixties. Some major improvements in this model were photo diode light metering, automatic electronic flash control and a mechanically timed metal shutter that was mounted on bearings to lower the friction and lengthen the life.
