Features

The Nikon F80 features an analog SLR camera which provides operation with exposure mode select dial and Command Dial with top desk LCD panel. It offers [AUTO] mode which is for full automatic control of the camera operations. This camera features three-area auto focus system. The Dynamic AF mode offers an incorporation of activities which include tracking the subject, attain, and maintaining proper focus with full use of all of the five focusing areas. In addition to this, the camera offers selection of dynamic AF mode, Center-subject-priority Dynamic AF and Closest-subject-priority Dynamic AF. The 3D-Color Matrix Metering uses the color tone of the subject as one of the factors for proper exposure in addition to the brightness and contrast, and the information about distance obtained from the lenses. This camera offers exposure metering system taking into account the tone of the subject which also shows the available subject conditions of 3D-Color Matrix Metering, Center-Weighted Metering and Spot Metering. It offers Focus Tracking with Lock On feature which locks the focus mode on the photographs while shooting in certain situations. The Nikon F80 features Five Vari-Program modes which include Portrait, landscape, close-up, sports continuous and night portrait. In addition to this, the Vari-Brite Focus Area display provides at-a-glance AF area confirmation for the photographer. It offers four exposure modes which include [P] Portrait, [S] Shutter-Priority, [A] Auto and [M] Manual. The built-in auto pop-up Speed light offers guide number 12/39 (ISO 100, m/ft.); a 28 mm lens coverage when taking photographs. The 3D Multi-Sensor Balanced Fill-Flash features as a tool to balance out the flashes needed according to the situation when taking photographs.

Additional features

The Nikon F80 features electronically controlled time setting and shutter speed at 1/2000 per second to 30 seconds. This camera is measured at (W x H x D) 141.5 mm x 98.5 mm x 71 mm.
