Nikon F 65 (Camera)

BCastle, REVIEW STREAM
1 September 2001
  • Excerpt: I’ve been using the F65 for about seven months now and I’m pretty happy with it. To me, the most important opinion of the people are critics of product defects, so I’ll start there. -Batteries This is a weak point of this camera . CR2 lithium batteries used instead of normal batteries. Use two at a time and each costs a lot. They last relatively little for the money, about 10 reels with a flash light use.

If you like using film, a good buy.

  • Excerpt: After several years of using a pretty old-fashioned Nikon, I decided to upgrade to something slightly more modern, and bought the F65. It performed many of the same functions as my old camera (an F3000?) but had a much newer design and some handy functions like the auto-focus. I don´t use the camera so much now, as point-and-shoot digital cameras became much more affordable and practical soon after I bought it (good timing ...

Superb First SLR

  • Excerpt: "An excellent introduction to SLR Photography. This camera has all the capabilities of more expensive Nikons but without the hefty price tag. To start with, the quality of prints you get from the F65 is superb. Colours are beautifully matched and the focus, even on Automatic, is excellent. The camera itself is easy to use once you've had a quick read of the manual because there aren't so many buttons. Don't let this fool you into thinking that ...

  • Excerpt: "...and it not only fits Nikon lenses but also Tamron and Sigma lenses which are slightly cheaper. The camera is light and easy to carry around as it comes with a shoulder strap. It takes two batteries which are on average about £15 for the two and they last around two years depending on how frequently you use it. The camera comes with a speed flash which is useful for low light conditions but I recommend that although it is good for standard photography, ...

My first automatic SLR.

  • Excerpt: "This is a fantastic camera for the first time SLR buyer. It comes with an instruction manual almost the size of the camera, and you can be snapping away within five minutes of opening the box. It has several modes with differing levels of user choice ranging from automatic where it operates as a simple point and shoot, to manual where you not only focus the camera but also are in control of aperature and shutter speed. The picture quality is good ...
  • Pros: A good midrange SLR with plenty of features for the amateur photographer .

  • Excerpt: "...other SLR models with same NIKON and other brands with my friends. They simply replied that I have got the best one. I am so pleased to say that, NIKON is the best. Just read the very very special features I mentioned below. I already used three(3) different modles with the same brand and now I reached the goal. I am highly satisfied. The most fabulous part is, neighbour comes to me for getting this when they go for special images. Thease ...

Starter SLR

katiekcl, Ciao

  • Excerpt: "This model is an excellent starter SLR for the money. This was my first SLR and it was a great model to learn on. I was given it as a birthday present to get me started. You can just point and click on the automatic setting and then gradually learn about all the manual settings. The manual is easy to read and offers good advice on taking various shots and settings. The best piece of advice I have been given since starting using my SLR is that film ...
