The T3 features an exceptional Carl Zeiss T* Sonnar that delivers a level of optical performance never before seen in a compact, easy-to-use camera. Focus range is from infinity to as close as 13", and a between-the-lens shutter eliminates any possibility of illumination fall-off.
Exposure Modes
The Contax T3 provides one manual and two automatic exposure modes. Manual mode provides full control over shutter speed. Aperture priority lets the user set the f/stop while the camera selects the appropriate shutter speed. And programmed exposure control sets both f/stop and shutter speed automatically.
Wide Shutter Speed Range
The T3 offers shutter speeds never before available in a compact, easy-to-use camera, with speeds as high as 1/1200 second and as long as 180 seconds.
External Passive Auto Focus With AF Assist
Found only in the most sophisticated cameras, the T3’s passive auto focus system focuses on subjects in the scene for ultra-accurate focusing.
Titanium and Sapphire Construction
The T3’s elegant and rugged titanium exterior features a unique stipple finish developed exclusively for Contax. And all the openings are covered with extremely scratch-resistant sapphire glass.
