The Canon EOS Rebel K2 is a light weight 35 mm Single lens reflex camera with autofocus and auto exposure and a built in motor drive retractable flash.

It will accept all Canon EF lenses with the exception of the EF-s, and features an SLR type eye level prism mirror. With the Rebel K2 approximately 90 percent of the vertical and horizontal coverage of the image area is actually seen.

The focusing screen is fixed, with full surface laser matte screen which is marked with the focusing points.

If your shutter speed is not suitable for the image, it will blink at 2hz in warning, whiel if the aperture is not suitable the same blinking will take place. Focus point can be selected by the camera, sa in autofocus, or by the user when in manual mode.

Depending on the mode in which you take the photo, the auto focus is set in one of three AF modes,(one shot AF, All Focus AF, manual focus) and the shutter will not release until focus is actually achieved.

Activate auto focus by depressing the shutter button half way down.

The Canon Rebel K2 has three metering patterns available to you, featuring TTL full aperture metering using silicon photocell, ETTL and ATTL

You can preset up to nine exposures which will clear automatically upon completion .

The shutter is a vertical travel focal plane shutter with all of the speeds controlled electronically, and both front and rear shuttre have dedicated electro magnets that accomplish the release.

Shutter speeds are from 30 to 1/2000 sec. bulb settings are X-sync at 1/90 sec. These can also be set into half stop increments. The built in flash is a retractable TTL auto flash in the pentaprism, which pops up automatically and can also be serial controlled. Recycle time is about two seconds.

The Canon Rebel K2 is compatible with most other Canon accessories such as battery charger and lenses.
