Summary: I bought this camera to begin my experiments with photography, and it took me easily through my beginning stumblings. Since I knew nothing I used its automatic modes which were self explanitory, and made it nearly impossible to shoot a bad picture. As I learned more about the art of photography, and the abilities of my camera, I was able to gradually find my way over to what the instruction book calls the 'creative' camera mode.
Pros: The flash is not strong enough for some situations
Cons: The flash is not strong enough for some situations
Summary: Great camera! Took some beautiful shots when I first got it at Yosemite National Park and was very happy with the results. Camera is sturdy because I did drop it pretty hard but it kept on going! I am pleased with the camera and the ability of it to do many creative things; however, the use of these special features can be confusing to the novice. But through practice and a several rolls of film one can become a pro at using the camera. Hope this helps, Good Luck!
Summary: The rebel 2000 is not the latest and greatest camera by any means. It is a 3 year old model now, and it was the cheapest SLR Canon made at the time. But, before it seems to bleak, it is an awsome camera. You can go fully auto or fully manual, so it is great for the beginer and does everything a "pro" would ever NEED to do.
Summary: Well when I read the review I expected the camera to have a couple scraps on the plastic and it maybe to be a bit used but when I recieved it I was so pleased because it had exceeded my expectations, it has no scrapes and looks brand new, they packaged it carefully and the lense and batteries work fine.
Summary: I'm very happy with this camera-bought it for my son who is using it for GCSE Art projects. It was delivered promptly,is as new and in better condition than advertised. No marks on it at all.It is light, easy to use and has produced some excellent results. The lens is also in perfect condition and very high quality.I couldn't be more pleased with the camera,my son is enjoying using it and his photography teacher is also very impressed.
Summary: Bought just to experiment with film photography to use with my Canon EF 50 mm f/1.8 II Lens . It is an absolute joy to use. It is responsive and as fast as my 450d but the batterys will last for years. It meters well and compatibility with the newer Canon lenses is a real bonus.
