Excerpt: This is one of those classic cameras, and probably more of an antique in this day and age with all the digital cameras. However it was the first camera I received and a cast off from my Dad, and the start of a passion in photography for myself.
Excerpt: I was bought this camera for my A levels, and initially i didn't like it. It seemed blocky and heavy, but that was compared to a DSLR. It didn't take me long to get to grips with the camera, and the quality of my initial shots I felt was great, and I carried on using the camera.
Olympus OM-10 Quality and performance way beyond it's price tag
14 July 2010
Excerpt: A light and easy to use camera way more capable than the price tag suggests. The camera as standard is an Aperture Priority automatic exposure, 35mm Single lens reflex. In Aperture Priority mode the user selects the aperture and the camera selects the shutter speed.
Pros: Olympus quality assured, truly comprehensive and versatile system
Cons: Rewind button is fiddly . Manual adaptor is essential not optional for full control
Excerpt: A very good camera indeed, but one for the beginner. As all OM cameras are so cheap now on eBay, I'd recommend looking at an OM-20 or 30, which has no need for a manual adaptor to change shutter speeds.
Pros: Immensely robust, high - quality camera
Cons: The ISO dial lets down the whole equation by being stupidly fiddly to use

Summary: The Grandaddy of cameras. Who didnt learn photography with one of these many years ago. I along with a long list did, it trained us how take better photos than most pro photographers today as we didnt have editing software.
Excerpt: Around 7 years ago I wanted to replace my ageing point-and-shoot compact camera with something that would offer me more potential for taking better photos. After talking to a friend who was a keen amateur photographer, and a local camera shop owner I decided to purchase a secondhand OM-10.
Excerpt: On the wall, just inside my front door, there is a large framed photograph taken in Yosemite Park, California. I think it's a bit special and I'm always delighted to say, "That's one of mine", when anyone remarks about how nice the picture looks.
Pros: It's easy to take good photos straight away and is very reliable
Cons: I find it tricky to put the film in the camera
Excerpt: Looking to buy an excellent manual camera that is cheap and reliable? I bought an Olympus OM-10 for night time astrophotography because of the cheap cost of the camera as well as its BULB settings and because my other camera was using too many batteries for night time pictures.
