  • Summary: Have only used once in Paris eurodisney and the photos are wonderful, very good colour and so easy to use. A great buy. My only problem was buying new cartridges for this camera.

  • Excerpt: I've never been particularly interested in cameras usually because I cant use them properly, but when I got one of these as a birthday present I thought well I'll just have to give it a go. For me this is a marvellous little camera and I am sure it has lots to offer even for the expert. It is very light and compact with lots of great functions. The carry-case has a loop so you can attach it to your belt leaving your hands free, which is great for sight-seeing.
  • Pros: Light, compact, easy to use .
  • Cons: Buttons and veiw finder a bit small .

  • Excerpt: I bought this for my wife about 4 years ago at the time APS was in its infancy. However, with the digital revolution, and traditional SLR users preferring 35mm film, there seems to be no place for APS. Because of this, we have not used the Canon M-1 for about 2 years now. However, at the time of purchase, APS seemed a great idea.
  • Pros: Compact, easy to use, built in lens cover and excellent quality photos .
  • Cons: Feels cheap, shutter release button too stiff .

  • Excerpt: I got this for my 16th Birthday to replace an old, rather large 35mm camera (i now usually use my digital camera but if I want to take pictures in the pub I slip this in my pocket!) Okay, the spec: Canon Auto Focus 23mm lens DATE/TIME mode and choice of 5 photo CAPTIONS 5 flash modes icluding red eye reduction Very small size Very light weight - only 115g One of the best things about this camera (apart from the obvious size advantages) is the case that comes with it,...
  • Pros: tiny, light, easy to use
  • Cons: no zoom, expensive pictures

  • Excerpt: I love my canon ixus m1! I got it two and a half years ago for my eighteenth birthday but it is still fashionable to look at and effective in what it does! (The origional lithium battery lasted two years) Its compact design means it can easily fit in my handbag when I go out with my friends on a night out...and the easy loading film means I can replace it safely even when I've had a drink or two!
  • Pros: really easy to use
  • Cons: doesn't have a zoom

  • Excerpt: I've always loved cameras but they never liked me much. Ever since I can remember I've been fascinated by those little boxes and by the fact that other people can create such beautiful pictures. But for me they were always blurred, dark, askew or just double-exposed. So when my sister bought me this for my 21st Birthday with the assurance that all of the above would change I didn't believe her... How wrong could I have been.
  • Pros: Incredibly easy to use, Great Photos, Speed .
  • Cons: Price, Flash could be awkward .

Your next camera

  • Excerpt: Before I get to the actually camera in this case, I shall briefly describe the APS (Advanced Photo System) because it is quite different to the “normal” 35mm film that we’re all familiar with. The film itself comes in a self-contained cartridge which enables quick reloading (if necessary). In order to load (or reload) the camera, you simply drop the cartridge into the slot, and close the cover. The APS films come in 3 sizes: 25 frames or 40 frames.
  • Pros: Small, light, easy to use, nice features
  • Cons: APS developing is expensive

  • Excerpt: I bought this little camera for its simplicity and size during summer as I was travelling to Vietnam and Cambodia for a month over Christmas. Given its size I expected to have to treat it very carefully with all its intricate parts but infact it is the most robust cameras I have had. It has been bounced around in hand luggage and dropped on several occasions - even in a stream!
  • Pros: Robust, Easy to carry
  • Cons: Possible poor view finder framing

  • Excerpt: This camera is the epitomy of cool and functional. It looks great, encased in brushed steel and perfectly pocket sized. It has some superb features, such as the ability to select from some pre-written messages to be printed on the photographs, date and time stamping, redeye reduction and many others. It takes great pictures in three different sizes, and the pictures ALWAYS come out looking colour perfect!
  • Pros: Small and sexy
  • Cons: None

  • Pros: Piccola, compatta, pregi formato APS, ottima costruzione
  • Cons: L'APS è estinto
