I've been using VENTA Humidifiers for almost 10 YEARS. Great HUMIDIFIER, but the LW15 is TOO SMALL ... SIZE UP to LW25 or LW45.

Summary: This is an GREAT, quality humidifier (not so much as an air purifier); however, I recommend SIZING UP to the LW25 or LW45. This LW15 is a little too small to provide adequately humidify a room. If you are looking for a great AIR PURIFIER, I highly recommend the IQAir New Edition HealthPro Plus Air Purifier, which is pricey but worth it). I purchased my first Venta Airwasher LW25 almost 10 years ago. I currently own 5 Ventas ... both the LW25 and LW45 ...
Summary: This little machine is deceptively simple. We keep it in our small bedroom, and the air is absolutely pure in there. Just earlier today, and as I write this, I moved that unit into the back room where we have our pellet stove. The sun was coming through the window and I could see dust suspended in the air; not wanting to breathe it, I watched the LW15 take in every bit of it. Within 5 minutes, the air was as dust-free as the most powerful air purifier would make it.
Summary: I am a singer and have used humidifiers all my adult life. I had chronic laryngitis this winter, however, and nothing was working. My Dr. told me to get a humidifier for my office, and he specifically recommended this one. I was very hesitant to pay the price, but I am so glad I did. My laryngitis was basically cured in 2 days. All this despite the fact that this appliance emits no steam, is silent, and needs to be refilled only after maybe 30 hours or so.
Summary: My house is very dry and I have tried every humidifying system including whole house for those areas with forced air. This is the very best. I sleep so much better with humidity in the air. This unit does not over humidify either. It is easy to fill and the water treatment additive eliminates the white dust. I have both the larger unit and this unit. Do not try to wash the fan section. That is how I broke my first unit and why I had to buy a replacement.
Good but not sure it is the right unit for the job

Summary: My piano tuner recommended this unit for my 6' Knabe baby grand built around 1917. At his suggestion, I also purchased a digital humidity measuring device. This unit is placed on the floor under the piano with the device up in the piano ribs. At the highest speed (2), the humidity only reaches 30 % ... perhaps I should have purchased a larger unit?
