Honeywell HHT-145 recommended for Pet Owners

slam91, Ebay
7 February 2012
  • Summary: This is a replacement. We have dogs and it certainly removes odor. The Honeywell HHT-145 is HEPA and we use it with a charcoal pre-filter. It handles everything that you throw at it. The unit has Variable Speed, Oscillating, and UV features. We run this unit 24/7, it is not silent but it is good white noise. I defiantly recommend this for pet owners.

This is a piece of Junk - Don't Buy

DeathPilot3, Amazon
20 December 2011
  • Summary: This thing is a piece of junk. It is not really Honeywell it is made by a company called Yaz. How do I know that? well when it quit working less than 6 weeks after I got it, I had to email and email to get a Return Authorization. The best is I HAD TO PAY THE RETURN SHIPPING (did I mention I only had it 6 weeks???) I have paid for the unit, I dont have one, and YAZ has not responded to the return. Less than zero stars for this...

Allergies, Asthma, Smelly Dog, Be Gone!

No Justice, plumbersurplus.com
1 June 2011
  • Summary: I chose this product because of the UV light to kill germs and viruses and haven't been disappointed as I work with ill clients. I also wanted it because I have allergies and asthma and a dog who wants to sleep in my room. This product eliminates the dog danger, odor and hair! Can't tell she's there. No runny nose, no post-nasal drip, no sneezing, no congestion. No asthma symptoms! It's a dream machine!

Great air filter

Bryce Hale, Amazon
29 January 2011
  • Summary: I had one of those sharper image ionic breeze. That didn't move that much air was a pain to clean. This Honeywell has lifetime filters, you can cut the ozone maker off if you want. Has a variable speed fan, which means it can be quiet or turn it up for some white noise to sleep by. Very cool product.

Beautiful looking & Well made

novavon, Ebay
2 November 2010
  • Summary: the price offered for the product 'Buy Now' was unbeatable! Did a fair amount of due diligence on these products and though there are some more advanced not so much as to demand the much Higher prices.... plus I like the idea of No Filters purchases. Of course the purists will decry the fact that those 'Purifiers' aren't as...well. pure but none of live in a vacuum pristine environment anyway so 90% improved to me is far superior to 0% w/out one!

Good Bang For Your Buck

Braneky Pest Prevention, Amazon
2 December 2009
  • Summary: Product works as stated. I noticed a difference in air quality after less than a day of use. The air flow is excellent...many units have restricted flow, but this unit has two fans and is capable of cleaning the air with ease, with out all the noise some other units make on high (Compared to my last 2 Oreck's that were LOUD when put on high). Over all great product for the price. Love the replaceable UV lights..

Don't use the UV bulb!

Quinn M., Newegg
25 August 2009
  • Summary: Can't believe they didn't test that. The UV bulb actually only kills a few germs, usually not much help anyway, in something with that much airflow.
  • Pros: Didn't buy this off the egg I just want to clarify any problems. It works fine if you follow the below warnings.
  • Cons: The UV bulb slowly melts the plastic over the motor and causes erratic behavior. It sometimes shuts off, sometimes jumps between low and high even while it's still on medium setting. If you keep the UV bulb off it works great.
