Summary: Airflow adjustment doesn't really work. Adjusting the air flow direction up or down has some effect. I have found that adjusting air flow left to right (or right to left) has ZERO affect. No biggie though (to me).
Pros: There are lots of pros. I especially like the Auto-cool and Energy Save features. The auto-cool adjusts the fan speed; the fan slows down the closer the room gets to the set temperature and speeds up when more cooling is needed. This helps reduce noise.
Cons: There are a few very minor cons that I'd like to mention. First, the unit is very LOUD. Using auto-cool and energy save helps to reduce noise levels by lowering fan speed or turning the fan off altogether. When doing online classes in the same room, headphones MUST be worn or I cannot hear what is going on.
Pros: Not loud at all. I had a Haier 8,000 before that was much louder and didn't bring any cold in. This unit is terrific: on the low cool settings I have to put it on 71-74 F (depending how hot outside) on energy saver mode it cools down my huge one bedroom in no time and ON LOW COOL!
