Avoid at all costs. Does not cool, LG support is useless. Designed to fail after 1 year.

Summary: Bought this unit at Costco in May 2013. Could barely keep up with my 250 sq foot living room in the first year. The second year, I ran it for the day and it could not bring down the temperature in my apartment and started spitting water everywhere. LG support was useless.
Unit is Dead; Lost All Refrigerant through Corrosion

Summary: My unit worked fine the first summer, produced a bit less cold air the second summer, and now is dead. The refrigerant has all leaked out, and the innards are corroded. LG has refused to compensate me in any way. Their customer service is a quagmire and thus a huge waste of time. DO NOT buy this unit, unless you want to buy another one in two years.
Summary: I have this unit. It worked great for about a year and a half. I would agree that it is loud. It is still blowing cool air but now our unit blows water all over the place. We called the 800 number on the side of the unit to see if we could get an idea of what the problem was. We realize it's not under warranty but wanted to know if they could give us direction on how we might fix the problem ourselves. I have never experienced such poor customer service in all my life.
Summary: Very nice product, almost like new. Loved it so far, no scratches nothing. Remote is little bit buggy, you will have to press twice to get it to work but that happens only sometimes. AC can cover my small apartment about 200sq ft. which includes kitchen, living space and bedroom. You can get a additional fan to circulate the air in the area making space cooler faster.
Summary: Worked great for 2 summers. I set it up for the 3rd summer and no cold air. I always took great care of the unit and expected it to last for a decade or more like other AC units I own. Very unsatisfied for such an expensive unit.
Summary: Worked great for a few times, but unit stopped cooling. I cleaned it well, but it still only blows the air out, not cooled air. Paid $549 at Home Depot - what a ripoff! Should get more than limited time for that price! LG Customer Service was terrible, wanted to send a repair tech at the cost of $89, plus the cost of parts (minor part would bring cost to $150, major part substantially more). onDo more research - has to be something that is good and lasts.
Summary: After just 2 summer seasons of occasional use, all power just stopped. No display, no nothing. Circuit breakers fine, internal fuse fine. Out of warranty and LG service with the really productive "is it plugged in?" questions. Junk, junk, junk made in China, $600 down drain at HD.
