Summary: Bought it in an "emergency" situation when my swamp cooler died. Took several days to get someone to fix it and bought this unit in the meantime. Works beautifully in my bedroom and even cools the livingroom a bit. Glad I got it!
Summary: Every summer, we have a few weeks where our upstairs bedroom is really uncomfortable in the heat and we spend more time tossing and turning than sleeping at night. I have threatened to buy a portable air conditioner for years but when the weather heats up and I remember, they're all sold out. This year I made a preemptive strike and bought one before the hot weather. I turn it on about an hour before we go to bed and our room temperature is just right.
Summary: This is a poor excuse for an air conditioner. The condenser only stays on for a minute or two at a time. It cools when the condenser is on, but it turns off for minutes at a time blowing hot air and cancelling out any cooling it did. I was prepared to cut it some slack when we were in 105 degree heat in Texas, but now we live in Colorado and it's not even working here when it's 88 outside. Don't buy this. I wish I could return it. What a waste of money.
Summary: It does the job of cooling the room down in 85 degree heat but it's very noisy. You can't really sleep with it on...my other concern is not sure if it will cool just as well in 90+ heat. Overall, I'm satisfied but wished it was a bit lighter in weight & quieter.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings
Summary: There are many nice things about this unit. However there are a few drawbacks. It is rather loud in a bedroom. It does a great job of cooling down the room. When using the dehumidifier part it is not to convenient. You must put a pail or container and attach a hose from the unit to the container to collect the water and then emptying the container is not that convenient.
Summary: I have had this product three weeks now and the thing I hate most is that someone (usually my dad) has to lift the whole unit and tilt it over in order to drain it. If you could simply remove the pan or it drained itself I would love this unit. It definitely cools of the area quickly and although the noise and vibrations that take place the first ten minutes after I turn it on is tremendous , it does quiet down some after a while. Overall you get what you pay for!!
Summary: I've been kicking around buying a portable A/C unit for our home several years. This past spring, our large wall unit gave out and we've been living with a small, 10k btu window model. Needless to say when this unit came across my desk, I jumped on it. LG products have never let me down in the past and this little 9k machine is cranking colder air than our old wall model ever did. My only concern centers on condensed water.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Quality
Product would not lower temp past 85F.Lots of energy used little results!!!

Summary: Was excited about getting a portable A/C that would replace my bulky old one. This A/C was worse than the 10 year old machine I used before. After using it for 6 hours the temperature displayed was 85F and would not go lower than that. Too much fan to evaporate the water so you don't need to drain it and not enough cool mode. Not recommended!
