  • Summary: It cools great. Nice and quiet. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars; All of the controls do not illuminate in the dark, making this A/C hard to control at night, the remote, I don't even bother using it. You'd thing Sears, with all it's years of experience, would know better then doing this to an otherwise fine product.

  • Summary: We have had this for about 3 weeks and really like it. It is extremely quiet. Like the slim look and how it doesn't take up the entire window. Installation was easy too.

Great Unit, Very Quiet

  • Summary: This is my second one of these units. I am very happy with both. The first is a few years old and still working great. They are very quiet when operating, I have one in my living room and the other in the bedroom. No bother when watching TV or sleeping. 6,000 BTU is on the low end these days but I find it performs better than the larger unit it replaced. It is also slim leaving more window area available and it's an attractive unit inside. Minor complaints: 1.

  • Summary: Love the low profile. It lets in more light from window, and is quiet compared to my last one.

  • Summary: Great air conditioner. For the price I couldn't ask for more. It fits perfect in our window. It is so much more quieter than normal air conditioners half of the time we don't even know it's on. I would highly recommended this to anyone just trying to cool a bedroom.

mold and water condensation on the controls

  • Summary: this is the most expensive AC unit I have ever had and the most crapy one. It has NO DEHUMIDIFICATION POWER, which means it will only cool down your room and keep all the moisture in the air. there is water condensation on the controls and mold everywhere inside the unit. even my cheapest, very loud AC unit does the job better than this OVERPRICED PIECE OF ****.

Buy Only If You Don't Use Remote

27 July 2013
  • Summary: I read some reviews here from users who didn't like the remote. But I thought: how bad can this remote be? Is it really that different from other ac remotes? The answer is YES it can be THAT bad. If you do not need to use the remote, esp not at night, then this unit is probably fine for you. If, however, you are purchasing for a bedroom, to mainly use at night, you may want to buy another unit. The remote is tiny, light weight, and easy to lose.

Very Nice

  • Summary: Just purchased to replace my old low profile. Works great and enjoy the feature of the air blowing up rather than out. Read many reviews of people complaining about this feature but I really like it. It's also very quiet.
