Summary: I use Haier air conditioners since 5years And I have three of them I wanted to replace one which is 6000 BTU with the 8000 btu For a better cooling , so I bought the 8000 BTU But it was not as good as the old ones 1- front grill is very weak (where the air comes out) 2- you can not control the direction of air to the desired area. 3- The fan power is weaker than the old ones . The price is very hi for such a product. The old were good and affordable .
Summary: GREAT little air condition..Installed in my office window (living Room)...About 300 sq ft. No Problem in supplying the area with this Unit..works just fine and keeps my place coooool.. I Like That..
Summary: Bought this unit mid-summer 2012 for my small 1-bdrm apt, and a year later it seems to be losing it's abiity to cool (granted it's currently been running 5 days solid during oppressive heat wave - low speed, temp @ 70). It just doesn't seem to be pumping cold air as well as it did a year ago, even a week ago! I would have expected it to last a little longer before coolant or whatever is exhausted. And, it is somewhat noisy.
Summary: Site said 4 way air flow, only has 2 way. The front grill and vent are cheap plastic, wouldn't take much to damage them. It does blow cold air. It does the job with cooling off 600sqft of apartment. Dehumidify mode works well also. It uses a lot less energy then my older 8000btu Kenmore ac.
Summary: I also bought the 8,000 to replace the 6,000 BTU and it's definitely noisier, even on the lowest level. Sure, it cools better than the BTU for my 200 sq. ft. room, but I have to turn it on fan mode at night, so I can sleep and I already wear earplugs!
