They were not very helpful and I was very disappointed in the product

Summary: This dehumidifier barely lasted 2 years. I tried to buy a 2-year warranty when I purchased the product and was told it was no longer available. When I called to say it wasn't working, I was told there were no dealers in my area that could look at it. The condenser had a 5-year warranty. They were not very helpful and I was very disappointed in the product.
Summary: Purchased this unit at a local "supercenter." it worked great for about a month. It was a little noisy, especially with the fan set on high, by the way that fan moved a lot of air. It sure did a good job at drying the air. About a month in I heard a slight shutter as it was operating. I left town for a couple days, set the humidity to 60 so that it wouldn't fill so fast. When I came home the fan had exploded and the pieces were all over the room.
Summary: Very bad unit, mine got the E2 error after one week of purchasing, I had to take it to one of there verified repair places, which has been in the shop for 2 months now, Haier still has not shipped the part for them to fix it yet, or they are sending it by fishing trolly, horrible product and company. Save your self some time and hassle and buy a different brand.
Summary: Recently acquired one of these...so far, so good! This is its second year of life, and still going strong - the auto off/bucket full is functioning as it should, and all seems to be well. Echoing another review, once you set it, you have to wait a minute or two before it kicks on. I thought there was a "ON" switch I was missing, but I just had to be patient. I have not used a hose hook up...that will be my next experiment.
Summary: Bought the HAIER DE45EJ-T about 4 years ago. It lasted less than 2 summers and runs, but not dehumidying so guess it has a freon leak. Stupid enough to buy a second one, model DE45EK-T to replace it and it lasted less than 2 years and and quit working makes noises like there is electrical popping when turned on. It's not on the recall list but wonder if it should be. There supposedly is a 5 year warranty on the compressor...etc.
Summary: Purchased unit 2 years ago today, used it one season, compressor quit working and Haier Service could not find a repair facility in my area and told me it was up to me to locate someone to work on the unit and labor was at my expense.
Summary: I have owned this for 3 weeks and it doesn't power on. Can't return it because even though I have the receipt because I don't have the box (unfortunate retailer choice by me). If you buy this and it is faulty, you should know that even under warranty, Haier support is a nightmare. I have spent too much time giving their staff geography lessons and updating their service center records. The bottom line is that their support staff is trained to run you around...
Summary: Unit purchased in July of 2012, used very little, next spring showed the E2 error, after contacting the company and was told it was a compressor failure and to mail in the labels and receipt for replacement. After being told unit shipped in June we are told every week that they will call back with a tracking number and forwarding the issue to the highest level of customer support. Never a call back.
