Summary: We purchased this dehumidifier and placed it in our basement with a setting of 45% humidity. It detected around 55% and started running. After 3 days the bucket was empty so I called support and they told me it takes 4 to 5 days for the bucket to fill the first time. After 17 days the bucket was still empty so I called support again. They tried to tell me it was empty because I set the target humidity level too low and that it is normally at 50%.
Summary: I have owned this for 3 weeks and it doesn't power on. Can't return it because even though I have the receipt because I don't have the box (unfortunate retailer choice by me). If you buy this and it is faulty, you should know that even under warranty, Haier support is a nightmare. I have spent too much time giving their staff geography lessons and updating their service center records. The bottom line is that their support staff is trained to run you around...
Summary: Unit purchased in July of 2012, used very little, next spring showed the E2 error, after contacting the company and was told it was a compressor failure and to mail in the labels and receipt for replacement. After being told unit shipped in June we are told every week that they will call back with a tracking number and forwarding the issue to the highest level of customer support. Never a call back.
Summary: This unit is great at removing moisture from the air, but I would only purchase this unit if you have a life that you can dedicate to emptying the bucket. For the first few days we emptied the bucket about every 8 hours, whether it needed it or not. We noticed that the water level was very close to the top of the bucket but thought that we has gotten to it just before the auto cut off switch activated. WRONG!!
Summary: Oh my, some Chinese worker on the mainland must have had a bad day. Been trying to dry out the very damp concrete floor in my garage 20x26' for four days and am 80% there. Only one problem, the unit leaks! So there is a constant puddle that flows away from the dehumidifier while the rest of the garage floor is drying up. Like I say: Sometimes you will get fortune cookie lucky and have no problems whatsoever. Alas I wasn't so lucky.
Summary: Length:: 0:36 Mins I've recommended Haier in many of my reviews. WHY? #1-every product I've purchased and reviewed going back to 2010 still works like the day I bought it. #2- packaging is never disappointing. tons of strong bubble wrapping including top and bottom of inner carton. shipped with double Haier boxes. #3-no Vine reviewers on Haier products to advertise. Overnight, this dehumidifier filled up the bucket. The unit turned off, and I emptied the bucket.
Summary: We placed this dehumidifier in a basement room and it worked like a charm. It requires emptying about once a day and the room has no musty odor and the humidity feels just right. It has a "smart sense" feature that we use to maintain a steady amount of humidity.
Summary: This is the second Haier dehumidifier I ordered from Amazon as the first one I received leaked from the housing immediately after the initial receipt.. I'm glad I order the unit from Amazon as they replaced it with no hassle. I originally contacted Haier with the first one I received and they said they would send a service person to repair it; however, the service person never showed up within the period stated by Haier representatives.
Summary: I bought this Haier DE45EK 45 Pint Electronic Dehumidifier on December 24, 2012 after my old dehumidifier died after over 10 years of maintenance-free usage. I read some reviews and decided to purchase this Haier DE45EK 45. The purchase, shipment, initial setup were all good but a couple weeks later I noticed that it stopped working. Its "filter cleaning light" went on. Then I noticed a huge pile of ice blocking the filter and the intake.
