Summary: The air conditioner has a good appearance, and is energy efficient.I don't like the fact that it doesn't cool the room enough. The unit only has one cooling level. It also takes time to install. You must pull unit out of case to remove foam. Then place back in case to install.
Summary: This air conditioner is used in the living room. The only thing that is great is it's appearance, but it is lacking in cooling the hole room.Unit doesn't make the room very cold.My old friedrich ac gets much colder then the new one. That speaks for itself.
Summary: I bought this air conditioner to replace a functional noisy LG air conditioner for the bedroom. I thought the Friedrich name would offer better quality for the higher price. Hah! The case was dented inside, but no damage was done during shipping. Had a hard time pulling the works out of the case as the insulation stips had been installed inproperly and were adhered to the insides. They were ripped apart when I was finally able to get the insides out.
Summary: I've found that after owning many window units that the quietest are those with this side vent configuration. I have a Frigidair at home that sounds like someone is running the vacuum cleaner even on the lowest setting. This unit cost a bit more but is well worth it when you turn it on and it doesn't sound like someone is making frozen margaritas. Build quality seems better than other brands as well. Cons: tough to get out of the sleeve for instillation.
Pros: Accurate Temperature Controls, Cools the Whole Room, Quiet
