DO NOT BUY THIS

V. Hom, Amazon
17 May 2014
  • Summary: The cooling fins that delonghi uses are paper thin. After one season of use there was a build up of crusty white stuff on the cooling fins causing most of the fins to fall off. Also the water booster stopped working and I have to kick it a couple of time to get it to activate. I would avoid this product.

Poor perfomance, too large, leaks

jlp0763, Ebay
10 July 2013
  • Summary: I live in a small house and thought this would cool most of my downstairs. It does not!! My old window unit worked much better. Not only that, but it leaks water. It is very large and cumbersome. Lesson learned..never by an appliance over the internet. I am going to the store and buy a new window unit and I have know idea what to do with this air conditioner. I would NEVER recommend this to anyone.

Great and Eco Friendly

J. Jarvis "JandJ", Amazon
5 March 2012
  • Summary: We bought one to cool down our garage for parties in the summer and it worked like a charm. Since then we use it all over the house. And I like the fact that it is eco-friendly and I can roll it anywhere I need it and it does a GREAT job of cooling. Highly recommend.

A good air conditioner

Maxime "Maximilliane", Amazon
22 July 2010
  • Summary: I bought this air conditioner because I own a DeLonghi air conditioner which I bought in 1994, after 17 years, it still works fantastic, I have it in our guest room because it's a smaller unit but works with water just like this one but the older model with detachable water tank. After the summer season, I really clean it well, de-calcify it and it works tirelessly for 17 summers.

Nice features and performance, but a little noisy

Chris W, Amazon
10 July 2010
  • Summary: I have owned this unit for a little over a month now and have been very pleased with the performance. The main area of my house was nice and cool during the recent heatwave we had. The feature that allows you to add water for extra cooling provided a much better boost than expected. The only 2 downfalls of this unit are 1) the exhaust hose, which is a little on the short side (delonghi's suggestion was to duct tape another hose together- thet dont sell a longer hose) and...

Amazing how a far a little H2O can go...

Roy Munson, Amazon
23 December 2009
  • Summary: I currently own 2 other portable AC units (1 Sharp, 1 Danby...both waterless) due to the window's I have in the old house my apartment is in and this Delonghi blows the other 2 out of the water...no pun intended. I was skeptical about having to add water to this unit, but the level of performance it produces due to this is well worth it. This is now the only unit I leave on during the day for my pets while I'm at work..

Keeps Me Cool!

Golden Bear, Amazon
16 June 2008
  • Summary: I had a Sharp unit that finally gave out and when searching Amazon I found this new DeLonghi air conditioner with eco-friendly refrigerant. I have always liked DeLonghi products for their stylish looks and this air conditioner is no execption. I have a metal roof with vaulted ceilings and when it gets hot the upstairs loft gets about 10* hotter than the rest of the house and since this is where I sleep I need some extra comfort.

VERY Noisy. Have fun refilling this unit with water to get 13000 BTU.

Tyler Durden, Amazon
9 June 2008
  • Summary: I admit, I got suckered into buying this unit because of the marketing and slick featureset. What a disappointment. I am returning it as quickly as possible, and would probably avoid Delonghi products going forward. I was trying to get information on where to buy replacement filters from Delonghi USA (& Canada), the former did not reply to several emails (USA tech support), and the latter - the Canadian support email bounced (no such mailbox). What a joke.
