Summary: I wouldn't suggest this product to cool a large area but it does what I wanted and that's to stay cool in my studio. In regards to sound, my previous experiences include three window mounted air conditioners and a central air conditioner.
Summary: I bought the DeLonghi unit 3 years ago on sale at Sam's Club. Our problem is that our master bedroom is over the garage. Even though the rest of the house is adequately cooled by the central air, the MBR is always about 5 degrees Fahrenheit higher. It can be very uncomfortable on warm, muggy nights.
Summary: The AC unit had a window bracket that did not fit any of my horizontal open windows because it wouldn't extend that long. I bracket extended enough for one smaller vertical open window in the living room behind my couch, but it did not fit there either!
Summary: The DeLonghi PAC C120 is great for the rooms we use them in. We use them in three rooms ranging from 120 to 150 square ft floor space. All three are set up with the through the wall addapter and ther is no problem.
Effective as an Air Conditioner but not as a Dehumidifier

Summary: I bought this unit at Lowe's because I needed a dehumidifier to help control the atmosphere in a room containing vintage guitars. The instructions say that when the unit is in dehumidifying mode, the temperature in the room will not be changed, but this is completely untrue.
Summary: The unit is quiet, easy to use and will cool a small area, but it uses a HUGE amount of electricity for its cooling capacity. A window unit of the same rated capacity uses about 1100 watts of electricity and will actually cool up to 640 square feet of insulated living area.
Summary: I purchased this unit because my central AC unit died. I do not have $3000 to replace it. But, this unit was affordable. It cools 1/2 of my 900 sq ft condo. During the day it's in the living room and at night I wheel it into the bedroom. Set up is a snap!
Summary: I recently purchased this for my girlfriend's room. The 10,000 BTU version says that it will cool a room up to 350 square feet. The room that it's in is about 150 square feet. While it does cool the room I was thinking that it would do a better job since the room is less than 1/2 the size of its...
Summary: I'll start with a pretty straightforward criticism about the device. I won't complain about the features (or lack thereof), such as the fact that you can't change the angle/pitch of the vents and airflow, because I knew about the basics of the product before I bought it.
