Jet Engine loud

Mr. Middle "Put it into Context", Amazon
2 August 2014
  • Summary: After about 2 minutes of just hearing the fan, it sounds like a Jet Engine is idling in the room. I cannot sleep at all. While I could feel it cooling down this unit - which was brand new when we first tried it - even got complaints from others next door.

Awesome! Very Reliable

AZ Heat, Amazon
10 April 2011
  • Summary: We originally purchased this Air Conditioner to cool the garage. It did a fantastic job even in the harsh Arizona heat. The garage has very little insulation so we were quite impressed. I have never had to empty the water. Perhaps because this is a two hose unit?

Cooling temperature

Potter St, Amazon
11 July 2010
  • Summary: Since most portable units are less efficient than a window unit I recommend getting one rated larger than what you actually need, especially if you have a computer or TV in the room. For a 234 sq ft room (18' x 13')I got one rated at 450-500 sq ft.

Love the Danby

lmwideman1950, Ebay
5 July 2010
  • Summary: We live in the deep south where temps can get 105 or more in the summer. We also have a garden and can vegetables which can make the kitchen and house unbearable, we bought the Danby to use in the kitchen when canning and it works great. If our air ever does out, we have a backup.

Totally worth the money!!!

Karon Boswell "Shopper747", Amazon
3 April 2010
  • Summary: I turn into a complete diva when I am hot!!! Wherefore, I bought this unit about a month ago and I could not be more pleased!!! This machine cools practically my entire upstairs. Likewise, after about 3 weeks of running it basically non-stop, I finally emptied the water and it was barely even full.
