Yamaha Pioneers A New Segment

Guitar Dad, Yamaha
23 September 2013
  • Summary: I'm not a professional but guitar playing guitar has been my hobby for the last 30years. SLG allows me to practice in relative silence without disturbing the sleeping family at night. With the headphones, I am totally engulfed by the sweet sounds that this guitar makes. On weekends when I play casual gigs with it, SLG becomes another animal when plugged into amplifiers; turning heads with both its gorgeous sound and stunning good looks.
  • Pros: Excellent Craftsmanship, Great Sound, Silent Practice Guitar, Travel Guitar
  • Cons: Short Battery Life

" strange looking but a great guitar"

Pennsylvania Jake, Yamaha
11 January 2013
  • Summary: Due to my disabilites, I had to have a very thin and light guitar. This guitar had these exact things that I had to have. I missed playing classical music due to my problems and now I am back at it. Its also very light and mekes it easy for me to pick up. It also sounds great on my JC-120 amplifer, so I did not have to purchase a new amplifer.
  • Pros: Great Intonation, Great Sound

  • Summary: I love my Yamaha silent nylon guitar and agree with your review 99 per cent. Why not 100 per cent? Because if John Lennon is one of your endorsers then he must have risen from the dead!

  • Summary: After playing the guitar for a month I am really pleased I purchased it. The neck plays really well and is comfortable to play and the action upto the 12th fret is okay. For having a quick practice and also playing at a gig the guitar has really proved that it's not to be underestimated. The onboard effects are pretty much what you would expect however the chorus sound is a little lacking in the overall sound but it's not bad.

  • Summary: After reading many reviews and posts on youtube about the silent guitars l decided to purchase the slg110N. Firstly I was looking for something that could be very portable, playable and could be used at a practice. My biggest problem is that I have small hands and generally l play electric guitars that have very slim necks and I'm playing mostly Jazz rock and Pop etc and although that the neck isn't the same neck size as a normal nylon acoustic it feels good and i was...
