Summary: This guitar suprised me, the tone was full and clear. My experience with beginner priced guitars is they never have a full sound, they are always thin sounding. I was looking for a guitar I could just take out in the woods or just take anywhere and not worry about it. I tried a few different guitars, but none of them felt good. The actions were very high and they still sounded thin. The salesman asked me what I was looking for and I told him.
Pros: Consistent, Fun To Play, Good Feel, Rich Sound
Summary: I am a collector of high-end and mid-range guitars and was out of town for a death in the family with no guitar, so I stopped by a competitor's to find something relatively inexpensive to play for the duration of my trip. I picked up just about every guitar in the acoustic room and then came across this instrument.
Pros: Amazing Tone, Consistent, Fun To Play, Good Feel, Rich Sound, Set-up Outstanding, Stays In Tune
Summary: I use my FG 700s to learn everything before I play on my electric. I use it to make sure I am learning and practicing good technique. I love the extremely rich sound, solid body top, and ease of tuning. I tune it every time I pick it up and either it doesn't need tuning or its so slim a change its not even worth mentioning. I am going to buy one for my roommate for her birthday.
Pros: Fun To Play, Good Feel, Rich Sound, Stays In Tune
Summary: I'm just learning to play the guitar and really enjoy using the FG700S. The workmanship is excellent, and the sound is full. I especially like that it came with light strings and low action so that I can produce solid notes without much pressure. I play about 30 minutes a day and only need to adjust the tuning once or twice a week. I am very pleased with my purchase, and plan to use it for many years.
Pros: Consistent, Fun To Play, Good Feel, Rich Sound, Stays In Tune
Summary: I read about the FG700 about a year ago. Listened to samples on some video web sites. So a couple of weeks ago, I went into my local music store and bought one. As soon as I heard that deep smooth sound, I was totaly blown away. The guitar is built very well, attractive to the eye, and you know you will be playing it for a very long time. Kudos Yamaha, a masterpiece.
Pros: Consistent, Flirting With Perfection, Fun To Play, Good Feel, Rich Sound, Stays In Tune, Very Hard To Put Down
Summary: I have owned this guitar for about 2 yrs now and I have not one bad thing to say about it. This guitar has awesome sound and the action is great. I did have it slightly adjusted when i bought it to lower the action some.. This guitar is full size, and may not be suitable for younger smaller kids.
