Summary: My soon to be 4 year old received this for Christmas and loves it. It is used frequently and frankly he is a riot to watch playing this "toy" guitar. The sound is great, it works as described, and is still ont he first set of batteries. He is rough on toys and this one still looks great. He is not using at the most complex level, but this is certainly more toy than instrument. I am impressed with the quality and the sound.
Summary: If you are thinking about buying this toy and you think it will be like a real gutair, proably should not buy it. no wonder it says instant rockstar.you touch the frets to play diffrent chords.plus, it is hard to stop.it is hard to break.that is the only thing I do not hate about it. I hardly ever play it and neither will you I think.never buy this product.
Summary: This whole series of guitars really is fun- you really have to strum to make the guitar sounds happen. It will be more fun when they figure out how to let you play together- sort of Rock Band meets Wow Wee. Or chips to play more songs on one paper guitar. But it gave us a giggle to watch everyone try it out. It grew tedious in about an hour and hasnt been played since, so it's staying power isn't great.
Summary: I bought this as a Christmas present. It didn't take long after it was opened for the adults to want to play with it too. It's not a guitar and I question it's value towards teaching anyone to learn how to play guitar. But it's FUN, kinda like "air guitar" on steroids. Everybody who got their hands on it ended up with a smile on their face. I questioned the durability of it based on it's heft, but it's help up remarkably well.

Summary: We bought this as a gift for a teen boy. I always like to buy gifts for the young'uns because that means I get to play with them, too! However, when we first unboxed this guitar and fired it up, I wondered if it was really that good. It was not loud enough to suit me and we could not make any significant music other than the three canned songs it comes with. We gave it as a gift anyway to a 12 year old. He loves it and could play it right away.
Summary: We bought one of these for our 6 yr old son for Christmas, then went back later and purchased a pink one for our 4 yr old daughter. They really love this toy, especially our daughter. She'll bring it out and start playing for whole groups of people like she's a little rock star! It may be a little tricky for the youngsters to figure out how to switch modes, but my kids have had no issues at all. I would definitely reccomend this toy.
Summary: Rated-R Lyrics are NOT for KIDS!!! The toy is cool, but you'd better research the songs if you are getting it for a kid. The one we bought our youngest drops the F-bomb. They distort it a little, but it was enought that we noticed it. It is a shame they can't make a toy that is targeted to kids appropriate for kids. Now I have to return a guitar, and break a kids heart because he loves to rock out with it.
Summary: My son was gifted this guitar for Christmas and I admit that I was confused about what it was when my father was describing it to me. The Pros: 1. The sound is really quite good for a...um...paper and plastic guitar. It plays three songs and for a younger child, this is enough at first to entertain. 2. When your child is ready to progress, there are several modes (Freestyle) that allow you to actually play the guitar with more authenticity.
