Summary: I thought I could take the smell. I couldn't. Otherwise it would be a decent deal and not bad sounding. The case is nice too, but everything smells like the Chinese rubber smell at Harbor Freight Tools. (sulfur?) I tried airing it out for a week with no success. If you have no sense of smell, get one.
Summary: I ordered this guitar and it came wrapped up nicely, but without the strap. I called and they immediately sent a replacement which came in an old box that had been damaged and taped up and still did not have the strap. I know they had a problem in the past with the straps smelling funny. Maybe someone removed them and never put new one's back in. Also, the 2nd guitars woodwork was not nearly as nice as the 1st, and the case was coming apart in the "hinge" area.
Summary: I got this for a Christmas gift for my son who wanted something portable. It was perfect in that sense. I loved that it came with a small, form-fitted case. However, the strap sticks STRONGLY of gasoline (or some chemical) and it has permeated the case. Just opening it makes us nauseous. I wanted to love this product, but how they can ship something with that smells like that is beyond me. 5 stars for Amazon's return label policy. Back to Amazon it goes.
Summary: This was an affordable package deal but I wasn't happy with the poor guitar tone. I sent it back and purchased a Samick "Greg Bennett" ST62 for $139.00. The Samick isn't as small but has much nicer tone and workmanship.
