  • Excerpt: As a lefty, there are not very many good options for acoustic-electric guitars in the sub-$500 price range. After a fair amount of research, I decided to pick up a Fender Hellcat guitar. I have to say I'm not disappointed in the least. I think this is a well put together instrument. It sounds good and feels good to play. I think it's at least as good as the Yamaha APX series electric-acoustic I purchased several years ago (and payed more than twice the price for).

TIM ARMSTRONG HELLCAT FENDER GUITAR

  • Summary: I never leave feedback on purchases but felt compelled to do so on this guitar as it is SO GOOD. I have been too three different guitar stores and played every acousitc I could get my hands on and this one was the best deal for the money by far. The all Mahogony body resonates a beautiful sound. The quality of the construction is very good. Feels and looks like a guitar in the plus 1,000.00 range..

"This one is fire"

  • Excerpt: It has a really even tone great action. The look is rocknroll. Although the body is smaller it projects great. Plugged in is pretty hot as well. It sounds full and smooth. The only thing its lacking in is the tuners are hard to hit the sweet spot and the on board tuner although handy is sketchy however it works.

Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat Acoustic-Electric Guitar

  • Excerpt: I got a good deal when I traded in my Fender Telecoustic, and that guitar was terrible in all respects. In its place I've now got a very good guitar with an excellent tone, fit and finish. I should probably point out that I'm not a Tim Armstrong fan, having not heard of him or any of his songs until I became interested in this guitar. However, as a non-fan I'd say that he has come up with a very useable and decent guitar, if you can get beyond the fret inlays.

Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat Acoustic-Electric Guitar

  • Excerpt: For this price this really is a GREAT guitar, its a must for any rancid fan and its a good starter guitar. I own over 20 guitars and many of them over 3k. But I come to this one first because it plays well, sounds decent, and I dont have to hassle with opening the case and wiping it down after playing.
