Pros: Sound quality is very good paired with my Martin Logan speakers. Good adjustability.
Cons: Video from PS3 will randomly drop. Weird, because the sound is still there... getting a little scared cause I saw another that had trouble with the XBOX. I have to unplug/replug the HDMI and it comes back. There should be no "handshake" problems with a unit this new!! Also, no s-video and my RCA ...
Summary: Sounds awesome.... Wish the inputs would have recognized the htpc and xbox. Upon researching another forum, it appears I'm not the only person with this problem.
Pros: Sounds awesome with my Polk monitor 70's, 60's, and cs II. The YPOA setup was also a breeze. This product has a ton of input capabilities, but mine aren't working like they should.

Summary: This was bought to replace a Denon AVR-3808 which has developed a bad rear channel and is not worth paying to have fixed out of warranty. I bought both receivers specifically for their network features. In the old Denon they all worked as advertized.
Pros: Easy to setup & use Sounds good
Cons: Internet streaming podcast support is broken uPNP/DNLA music playback issues as well
Summary: Yamaha advertises "Assignable amplifiers for bi-amp connection". This feature selectively routes the full-range signal for the front channel to the surround back channel. It does not implement any internal low-pass/high-pass crossover filtering at the pre-amp level- same signal to both amps.

Summary: I like Yamaha and will continue to buy them but this product did not work out for me. Did have nice sound with my JBL/Advent speaker system and I do like the remote. But as others have noted, the manual and general UI is confusing.
