Pros: The sound from this receiver is nothing short of incredible. Even my speakers from the late 1990s sound great, though I'll be shopping for newer speakers shortly. The receiver is very easy to configure, though the options are limited when not using the HDMI output. The receiver also has an app av...
Cons: I'd like to see every configurable option available through the phone app. Sometimes I just want to tweak a few settings without having to turn on the television.
Pros: What a great deal on this Yamaha RX-V773WABL 7.2 channel receiver. Replaced my HDMI troubled Onkyo NX808 and right out of the box sounded better and the picture was better also to my Mitsubishi 3D 7800 Projector. Thanks Newegg and Yamaha---this deal was so good, ny brother (he a tech and audio/vi...
Cons: none yet---quality build and looks. Does have an external WIFI--but this $80 item comes FREE with this product.
Summary: For the price, buying this receiver is a no-brainer. I bought this from Newegg several months ago when it was on sale like this. I love being able to stream music from Rhapsody and Pandora right on the unit.
Pros: Price Features Networking
Cons: Not really anything... There could be UI tweaks in the receiver and control app for the phone.
Pros: Does more than in the description. My setup has 2 zones. One for 5.1 surround and other for 2.1. Party mode manages flawlessly movie experience to music. Using PolkAudio bookshelf speakers, one center and subs. Auto setup with microphone got about 85% there. Additional adjustments for an advanced...
Cons: User experience a bit funny. No custom wallpaper. Only 4 scene presets but I have 6 devices connected. DVD, iPod, WII, XBMC, Pandora, Cable box
Summary: I have this plugged in to my wireless router and both my ASUS Transformer and Samsung Galaxy S4 work great as remote controls.
Pros: Outstanding price, Great sound, easy setup, more features than you can imagine, integrates with all my other electronics, great Android remote control app works on WiFi so works anywhere in the house. Excellent product all around, Pandora and Internet Radio work great
Cons: GUI is a little dated, needs a way to define HDMI as the standard input/output for TV instead of AV connections in menu. FM radio tuner is not as quite good as earlier models were. Bookmarks for Internet Radio are impossible to figure out.
Summary: I don't understand how people have issues with the YWA-10 wireless adapter that is included with this Yamaha reciever. JUST follow the manual setup procedure described in the little instruction pamplet you connect to a PC first and follow a few simple steps a child could do it.
Pros: Superb sound quality easy speaker setup and very powerful. Wireless works great if you read and follow the directions and do the manual setup procedure by connecting to a PC. A child could do it.
Summary: This is my third Yamaha receiver and I will never purchase any thing other than Yamaha. Their quality is outstanding, they know music and home theater. For the price I would compare them to any system twice the price.
Pros: Set up was a breeze! I heard and saw a very noticeable difference from my old receiver. Loaded with features. The Yamaha AV Controller app works great. Can't beat Yamaha quality.
Summary: After my Onkyo HTRC-360 went out after two years because of HDMI board issues I was in the market for a more reliable receiver. Im glad I found the 773WA. This receiver out performs the Onkyo receiver any day.
Pros: Sounds Awesome 2 Zones Interface App remote to control both zones
Summary: My last "home theater" system was a Sony HTIB. So, I am no audiophile. But to me, the sound quality is excellent from this system - I'm driving a Polk 25C center, Polk PSW10 subwoofer, Polk New Monitor 65Ts for front L/R (all Polks from newegg) and cheaper in-wall speakers for the surrounds, from...
Pros: Great audio power and quality Seamless networking, including AirPlay Nice and well-supported iPhone (etc) app Outstanding value. Independent zone 1 and zone 2 (can play different content). Converts any video input to HDMI, e.g. the Nintendo Wii (untested). Generally feature-rich and high level of...
Cons: Not the absolute latest model? Doesn't bother me much. Internet radio stations can be hard to find (because they're so numerous). Might be nice if it integrated Netflix or had other SmartTV features.
