Summary: So far this receiver has done it's job, and done it well. Have not had to try all the bells and whistles, but so far it has done what I've asked. I have it set up to be controlled with a Harmony One universal remote and is doing well with that.
I dare to say , by now the best bang for your money for a low cost receiver.

Summary: This is a great low profile 7.2 channel receiver. The user intefase looks like old but it is simple to use. The fact of not having integrated wifi also makes this model a little out of date but thats something I solved with a cheap router.
Summary: I've had the Yamaha receiver for less than a month now. Only used it a few times since it is downstairs in the "kid rec room" for now. But it will be moving to our camper when it is time this spring.
Summary: While my Yamaha RX A2010 is being repaired, I hooked up this model and am delighted to report it's driving my Golden Ear Technology Triton One speakers just fine (as well as two presence, one center channel and two rear surround speakers plus two sub woofers).
Summary: Basically I'm happy with this amp but have several minor complaints\observations. The speaker connections for Zone B speakers are the old clumsy spring loaded type that won't accept banana plugs. The other speaker connections are the solid screw down type that accept banana plugs.
Summary: I like this receiver but didn't realize it required a wired Ethernet connection in order to use the XM function. I assumed it connected wirelessly but it does not. That put a real crimp in my router set up.
Summary: It sure would have been nice to have a hardcopy of the owner's manual. You only a CD of it with this product. Besides that, my only other complaint is the remote sensor is very finicky, meaning that if you don't have the remote aimed just right, it won't accept the commands when behind the glass...

Summary: I was looking for a replacement receiver for my Yamaha RX 992 system. I saw this one and thought I would give it a try. Here is what I liked: 1. It is REALLY nice to only have to connect HDMI cables and not have all of the video and sound cables for each device! 2.
