Summary: RX-V675 is a good product. I've been an Yamaha fan over the years. I have had a V800, a V1000 and now this V675. It has a very good connectivity (I had the fear to miss bluetooth but I didn't). I use Galaxy and iPad wi-fi and AirPlay which are great features. The sound quality does not change so much when compared to RX-V1000, which was a great receiver. The only reason to change was HDMI connections. I think sound effects list could be longer.
Pros: Accurate Controls, Connectivity, Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
Cons: Confusing / Bad Remote Control, Sound Effects, Sounds Effects
Summary: Although I gave only 4 stars, as far as quality this unit is definitely 5 stars. The sound is really great even using some cheap dayton speakers. Shockingly great sound and a lot of nice features included. The only downfall and it was actually quite a big downfall for me since this was one of the main ways I wanted to use the receiver, is how Airplay works in Zone 2. I have a 5 speaker setup in my living room and have 2 speakers outside on my deck.
Summary: I USE THIS RECEIVER WITH A 60 INCH Samsung smart TV. attached via HDMI are a Oppo Blu Ray player as well as a 3D Samsung Blu Ray player, an XBOX and a Wii.My Sound system consists of Polk RTi tower speakers and Klipsch surround and center speakers and a sub woofer. This receiver replaces an Onkyo that went bad in less than three years. There is more power in this unit then I would ever use. Sound quality is absolutely fantastic.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
Summary: I previously owned a HTR-6250 Yamaha Receiver. The RX-V675 has some great improvements. The app functionality to control sound and input from your iPhone and iPad. The V-Aux HDMI input. The air play functionality. The only downside on this is that you cannot play video via airplay.
Pros: Accurate Controls, Easy To Set Up, Great Sound Quality
Summary: I am slowly building a home theater and zone 2 around this unit. Ceiling and second room speakers will have to wait until the attic cools in the fall. This unit is very complex and has many more technical features than any receiver I have ever owned before. The CD owners manual is not the most convenient to use. Internet connectivity is nice but not all the features work. e.g. Pandora (probably not Yamaha problem).
Summary: Very happy with the product overall and is a great value. Make sure you get the wifi adapter if there isn't a CAT 5 outlet near your setup. The only problem I have is with Pandora. After anywhere from 20 min to an hour of music, it stops and gives the message 'access error'. As of yet, I can not find a solution.
