Summary: I recently returned the RX675 reciever. The dolby digital decoder would turn itself off preodiclly at high volumes. This caused preodic distortion in the video and loss of audio. I worked with Yamaha technical support but they could not figure it out. I tried pretty much everything like new cables from end to end but it did not help. I am actually a bit bummed that Yamaha which is known for products which work for decades could not fix my issue.

Summary: Yamaha RX-V675 7.2 Channel Network AV Receiver with Airplay ... Yamaha I have had Yamaha receivers for years - they were built well and just worked!! The components were heavy. When I received this unit it was very light and felt cheaply made. Irrelevant in itself - but it failed after 4 days - was sad and concluded that another cheap China product - I sent it back and bought an Onkyo TR- NX 828 (working well) heavy unit too - lol
Summary: I have had Yamaha AV receivers for 20+ years and only replace them to keep up with technology. I purchased the re-branded RX-V675 at Costco to coincide with a new TV purchase. Fortunately, my router is directly behind my entertainment center cabinet, so I had the Yamaha hard-wired thru a hole in the wall. While listening to my Pandora One account the next several days, I began having intermittent "Access Error" halts on the RX-V675.
Summary: It's mediocre at best. Center channel controls are extremely limited so if you like to actually hear dialogue you'll take what they give you and like it. The 'sound fields' are all gimmicky nonsense you'd never actually use unless of course you like what you're watching to sound like you've got your head stuck in an echoey toilet bowl. But that's not the worst part; Airplay.
