Summary: very happy to upgrade to this yamaha from my 12 year yamaha. the hdmi ports and has enough power to make you feel that you are at the theather. love the app and easy audio setup for whatever room you might be in.
Summary: So far this receiver has done it's job, and done it well. Have not had to try all the bells and whistles, but so far it has done what I've asked. I have it set up to be controlled with a Harmony One universal remote and is doing well with that.
Summary: What can I say about the best receiver I have ever owned? So many great things to say about it, I don't know where to start. I don't have to use my TV to do anything anymore. I switch between HDMI1, 2, 3,4 by using this Receiver. It even turns my Yamaha subwoofer on and off.
I dare to say , by now the best bang for your money for a low cost receiver.

Summary: This is a great low profile 7.2 channel receiver. The user intefase looks like old but it is simple to use. The fact of not having integrated wifi also makes this model a little out of date but thats something I solved with a cheap router.
Summary: We had a model of 2012 that quit. So I was a little bit "anxious" by another "yamaha" product as the first,, even in the same price range, was not what I was expected. So, bad product and bad quality and ....why should I buy another yamaha !? I don't know. But, what a difference.
Summary: Even though this is definitely not the top of Yamaha's line, I am very impressed with its power, clarity and features. This is my 3rd Yamaha in the past 15 years - and yes, they all still work perfectly.
Summary: Love the flexibility of inputs and the android app. It shows Pandora and locally stored album covers. The internet station selection is really nice. (I would prefer for the app to display the sampling rate) I can easily navigate to the music I have stored on my Windows machine or on my Synology NAS.
