Summary: Bought this unit about 3 weeks ago. I'm fairly knowledgeable about audio products; I've refoamed my own vintage speakers, and I bought this unit to power a 7.1 home theater system. We have a Sony Bravia XBR-9 TV and a mishmash of speakers, comprising vintage early-'90s Advents, 10-year-old Wharefedales, a Polk subwoofer, and an Infinity center channel. Pro: It has all the must-have codecs--e.g., Dolby TrueHD, Prologic IIx, and DTS-HD Master Audio.
If Zone2 is decision criteria for you - beware!!!!

Summary: While I am impressed with this product (I bought it after success with another Yamaha receiver I have in another room), I specifically picked this unit because of the Zone2 support; however as I tried to listen to the ball game in Zone2 I found I couldn't as my input is an HDMI cable and HDMI inputs can't be played in Zone2. As the user manual states on page 69 "Only analog signals (including radio, USB and network sources) can be output to Zone2.
