Summary: I've owned this since 2008 and I'm not interested in the junk they have now! It has incredible clear, loud quality better than theater sound! The new model is 90 watts not 95 and the 3d feature we saw were that went! No issues since I've had it! Buy it!
Summary: Purchased the receiver, used, but looked new when I received it. Configured as part of a home theater setup, including an iPod dock, and it works great. I use 4-ohm speakers and the amplifier had no problem driving the load.
Summary: This a very fine receiver,I purchased my first unit at Best Buy the sound was great. I purchased another 2 units on E Bay and now I have a system in our living room, a second system in our family room in the basement, and the third system on the second floor.
Summary: The main selling point of this receiver is its HD Audio capabilities (Dolby TrueHD and DTS Master-Audio)and this was my main motivating factor for purchasing the RX-V663. Upgrading from a Denon AVR-1706, I was not sure what to expect from Yamaha. It certainly has a "crisper" and more powerful sound than the "mellow" sounding Denon, which is a good thing considering that my Polk Audio Monitor Speaker setup have silk-dome tweeters which have a laid-back sound.
Summary: This thing is amazing. Right out of the box you plug it in, turn it on, and it works great. There are plenty of input and output options. Then there are advanced features that are well beyond anything I could ever imagine using.
Summary: The Yamaha RX V663 is an excellent 7.2 channel receiver. It not only offers the usual multichannel decoders, but also has Yamaha's excellent DSP functionality. I have owned a Yamaha DSP unit for almost 20 years and when I decided to buy a new home theater receiver and integrate my video and audio systems into a single room, I had to have the DSP features for audio listening that I have had for all those years.
