Summary: I finally upgraded from my old Yamaha RX-V2090 7.1 receiver. The old one still sounds great, but the new one fits in with the rest of my 3D home theater setup better, since it has the current audio formats and HDMI. My wife loves the network music options as well.
Summary: This is a top notch receiver for people on a budget. Add a wireless bridge ($20) for net options like Pandora, stream from your computer, or choose from hundreds of pre-set Internet radio stations.
Summary: I really don't hate it but when it worked properly it was a fabulous receiver but I haven't owned it that long and already the HDMI ports have failed and that was the main reason that I bought it. I need to send it back for warranty work and get the HDMI ports fixed.
Summary: I'm a pretty big fan of Yamaha receivers. They are focused on sound quality, quality, and simplicity. The look is a tad boring, but my Yamahas are all still in service. Haven't had the same experience with Pioneer brand receivers.
Summary: Great sound, good power, easy to connect, remote is easy to use also, I love it. I'm not a sound master like most people on here apparently, so I cant tell you technical things, but I will say I'm very picky about my sound and speakers, bass/treble, etc.
Works well enough to be new. It's astonishing that it's refurbished.

Summary: I've had this receiver for about 7 months now, and it has yet to disappoint. AirPlay works flawlessly, the sound is fantastic, the plethora of inputs completely exceed my needs, and it just looks good. I don't expect this performance from a refurbished device. I expect it from a new one.
