Summary: Sound quality is a great improvement over my standard TV. I hooked up a set of 5.1 Polk speaker and it really made my tv come alive. However, as typical with component AV receiver, using it is not as straigh forward as can be.
Summary: It should have an A/B switch on the receiver. The app is iffy. I can't get internet radio to work most of the time and getting favorite internet stations set in the app involves a very convoluted process. The sound and power are fine and it has a nice assortment of ports.
Summary: Bought the receiver for the dual zone & Bluetooth capability. Performed great for the first three weeks, then one day it went into overload protection; Would not work after that. Contacted tech support to troubleshoot it, but best option at time was to return item.
Summary: However only having it after three months blew two channels. Had to have repaired at a shop at an inconvenience to me. Sounds very clear and clean when working properly. Very disappointed in Yamaha. I was going to upgrade to a larger more powerful unit not so sure anymore.
Summary: I bought the refurbished V575 and really liked it. The only issue I had with it was video out when reading from the first port. The signal was weak and washed out for about 5 to 10 minutes and then would straighten out. I tried changing cables and switching sources and still had the same issue.
Featureful, but hard to operate without TV attached

Summary: Initial impression is good. Sound is good, and the remote is reasonably easy to use. Works well for Internet and over-the-air radio stations, and plays music from an iPod easily, including from apps such as Pandora.
A nice enough receiver, but has some critical design flaws

Summary: This is my second unit, the first one was returned because the remote wasn't working. While a nice core unit with good specs, in my setup I have found the following problems with the design: 1) A critical design flaw: Neither video nor audio is crossed between HDMI and the analog banks.
Summary: Guys read the description part of it carefully as it has airplay but no wireless connectivity and no blue-tooth connectivity. it is a nice receiver but it lacks that option so I had to cancel the order and opt for sony STR-DN840. that lack zone b but i am just using it in my family room.
Summary: Basic setup is no more complicated than with any A/V receiver and the sound is great. Setting up the rest of the receiver so that functions like separate zone speakers, on-screen programming, Airplay, HDMI and the like is nightmarish.
