Summary: Sound quality is a great improvement over my standard TV. I hooked up a set of 5.1 Polk speaker and it really made my tv come alive. However, as typical with component AV receiver, using it is not as straigh forward as can be. Instructions are provided on CD so I cannot just flip to the page and read it. Have to have my laptop with me to program the receiver. I wish they would just print and include the instructions. Also, instructions are not very clear.
Summary: It should have an A/B switch on the receiver. The app is iffy. I can't get internet radio to work most of the time and getting favorite internet stations set in the app involves a very convoluted process. The sound and power are fine and it has a nice assortment of ports. The buttons are in good places, but the smaller things in the display are hard to read. The computer sometimes has trouble connecting to it with Airport, and I have to close iTunes and reopen it.
Summary: Bought this for my dad, he loves it. Plays in 5.1 which is what he was looking for, has network connections, 3D passthrough and is 4k ready so it will be with him for a long time which is great as he really does not like to replace tech items very frequently
Frustrated by frequently having to reset the device

Summary: So I bought this receiver about a year ago, and was pretty excited about it based on the reviews I read, coupled with the price and features of the product. After initially setting it up and feeling my way through the configuration, I was pretty happy with it. I have outside speakers on the patio which are run off Zone-B, and we were having a party for my son where we would be watching a movie on the patio and streaming the audio through Airplay.
Summary: Bought the receiver for the dual zone & Bluetooth capability. Performed great for the first three weeks, then one day it went into overload protection; Would not work after that. Contacted tech support to troubleshoot it, but best option at time was to return item.
