Nice sound but poor execution - Aquos does not work

Summary: I have several Yamaha components and all are great except this one. The sound is great. The features are great. The Aquos link simply does not work. In fact, it screws things up so bad, I suggest you just turn it off and buy a side table to set all your remote controls on.
Failed after 3 months, took 8 weeks to get it repaired.

Summary: The price was good on this unit, but about 3 and half months after purchase it refused to power on. Amazon is an authorized reseller for Yamaha so thankfully Yamaha will repair the unit as long as you take the unit to an authorized repair center.
Worked really well! and then it didn't! 10 months and done

Summary: I was really pleased with this receiver after purchase and setup. It worked really well and the sound was awesome. I used it mostly for TV, movies and gaming and for each, the custom sound fields (or whatever they are called) were great.
Pros: The audio seems to work well. The system overall is nice, minimal gui, online radio is plain, but works nice.
Cons: HDMI is purple, just got it two weeks ago,and none of the HDMI ports work without producing purple color on the image. My hdmi's are fine, and the video output do the same thing on multiple equipment hocked up.
Summary: A big reason I chose this unit was the zone B capability. But Yamaha doesn't include separate zone B volume control like other receivers I've had. The levels are set in the initial setup and after that zone B volume changes according to the main volume control for zone A.
Pros: Nice sound while it worked. Buy it cheap and take a chance. But know that while the Yamaha warranty is 2 years (a big reason I picked the brand), their customer service is unbelievably slow, uncommunicative, and not very friendly. (I'm putting this under "Pros" because they did in fact finally ho...
Cons: Audio suddenly died after 4 months. After I got it back from the Yamaha certified shop for warranty repair (two months) the HDMI no longer worked. Yamaha customer service took 6 weeks to issue an RMA so I could send it to them. Two weeks after that they sent me a V575 replacement receiver. Hopefu...
Summary: Update 2: It took Yamaha Customer Service 6 weeks to email me an RMA number so I could return the defective tuner to them. They never explained why producing a number takes a month and a half. I shipped the unit back to them about two weeks ago and haven't heard anything about it.
