Summary: I really like this receiver because it was fairly straightforward to setup (although speaker posts pose a challenge if you connect with straight wire) and sounds very good in the room with plenty of power. All my devices connected and worked without issue (HTPC, bluray, roku, HDTV). Airplay for music works great, but as others have said, no Airplay video pass-through. This probably isn't a deficiency, probably an Apple restriction.
Pros: Clear Sound, Easy To Set Up, Interfaces Well With TV
Summary: I use this product for gaming and tv. Things i would like to see would be a dumbed down reciever. I will never use the internet radio really or airplay. They should create a cheap audiophile version like they do with car stereo recievers. Also i have a windows phone so no support for the app. I love how the yamaha looks and works.
Pros: Clear Sound, Easy To Set Up, Equalizer Power, Interfaces Well With TV, Thundering Bass
Summary: This is a really nice AV receiver! I replaced a Pioneer receiver I had owned for almost 10 years with this one when it became apparent that HDMI was taking over the AV connections for pretty much all devices (Blu-Ray, TVs, Tivos, etc.). My Pioneer receiver didn't do HDMI. This one has 4 HDMI inputs, which may be too few for some people, but it was sufficient for home entertainment center (I'm using three of the four).
Summary: This is a good receiver for an average home theater system. It would not be my first choice for my theater room, but it is more than enough for the great room. I like that you can stream directly from your smartphone via wireless network. Although I have not looked in great detail, I have not figured out how to keep the until on the input it was on when I last turned it off. I don't use it all the time, so I am using the HDMI pass-through..
Summary: Been using this for 3 weeks now. Coupled it with a Boston Acoustics SoundWare XS 5.1 speaker system. The YPAO sound optimization for automatic speaker setup is easy to do. I had an existing center channel speaker so we're running 6.1 sound and it sounds great in our space. It takes some reading of the manual to make the tweaks, but the answers are there if you look closely. The only problem I had was getting it hooked up to the internet.
Great, but a little confusing to program everything.

Summary: Seems great so far, but it's a little confusing figuring out how to program it. Looks nice, sounds great, seems very well made. Just so many features that it's a little daunting to figure it all out.
Summary: Has many features I will probably never use, but does everything I need and does it well for a reasonable price. Supplies all audio capability for my family room home theater and TV. I replaced a (fully functional and more expensive) 2004-era AV receiver to gain AirPlay and network connectivity features, especially the remote app. Great unit.
Pros: Clear Sound, Easy To Set Up, Interfaces Well With TV, Many Featurescapabilies, Remote Via Network App
