Summary: Periodic issue with screen turning all magenta. Power cycle (pulling power cable, count to ten and plug back in) clears it up until the next time. Seems to happen once every three months. I have the latest firmware and still occurs. Other shortcoming to mention is I have to wait for the receiver to "click" after powering on before I adjust volume or I won't get any sound. These aren't horrible issues, but not something you'd expect.
Summary: I bought this receiver on June 2nd on 2013. This receiver was working just for 1 year. Yesterday it is down and not at all working. :-( Please don't buy this receiver. I'm not sure, if amazon will help or not.
Summary: I really like this unit. I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because I wanted to go wireless but when I purchased this, Yamaha wasn't quite there yet so I didn't go for a high end model but that's coming... ;) Otherwise it is a GREAT purchase. This is my second Yamaha amp. My other one was about 20 years old. It still sounded golden but I had to jury rigg my TV sound since they didn't have HDMI hookups when I bought it.
Summary: The shipping and packaging was great, the product worked great and the price was perfect. I only gave this 3 stars because after 8 months the receiver broke! We took it to an authorized dealer which warranty still covered but it took a month. The back order was for the same part which worries me that this happens often and after a year you eat the cost.
Moved from a RX-V750 to a V573 for HDMI switching and couldn't be happier

Summary: When this deal of the day popped up, I initially hesitated. Going from an RX-V750 to a V573 seemed like somewhat of a downgrade. I can honestly say I have zero regret. I did not notice any degradation in sound quality with the lower receiver lineand have enjoyed the HDMI switching even more than expected. As an added bonus, this unit is AnyNet capable, which has come in especially handy with my new Samsung SmarTV.
Summary: I have had this for several months and after hooking up my smart TV, HD-DVR and Bluray it has worked great and sounds great. The network connection was solved by using another great product Iomegas 5-port WiFi N Ethernet hub connected to the wired Ethernet port on the receiver, the Iomega stays on and allows the receiver to connect as soon as it powers up with all the bandwidth that your wifi can give, much better than buying the Yamaha dongle WiFi and cheaper too.
