Summary: Great receiver with video upscaling at modest price! Now all my signals go to TV with just one HDMI cable, instead of all the 3-color, RCA and HDMI inputs to the television from the receiver. the setup was easy, including speaker tuning for the room and it sounds terrific!
Summary: Falling about in the middle of the Yamaha new receiver line-up, this is a solid receiver with many of the bells and whistles you'd find on a more expensive model. The sound is excellent, the features are many and the power is fine enough for my room and my needs with room to spare. Anyone needing to upgrade their receiver, or just purchase a new one, could not go wrong if they added this to their system.
Summary: Perfect for my 500 sq ft small home theater room. Easy set up and lots of audio configuration options. You cannot go wrong with Yamaha. Its stationery so it will be kicking for the next 20 years.
Summary: My old Sony receiver was giving me fits and my needs had outgrown its capacity (in particular, it only had 2 HDMI inputs and I have 4 devices that I connected through an HDMI switch). This Yamaha unit has dropped in price due to the new models that have come out. Set up on this unit was a snap! It definitely helps to have banana plug-ins on the speaker wire. The sound coming out of this unit is pretty flawless for the price point.
Summary: After a horrible experience with a Denon AVR-1312 that I had to return, I am very pleased with this purchase. Following HDMI compatibility issues with the Denon, I was a bit concerned about the Yamaha. To my great relief, the RX-V571BL performed perfectly out of the box with minimal set-up and tweaking on my part. It just worked!
Summary: Got this receiver for a combination AV/Karaoke system with 5.1 speakers. All the other popular AV receivers seemed to have some severe drawback (features which didn't work) mentioned in the reviews, while the Yamaha reviews were clean. The AV features are great, and the YPAO automatic calibration makes setting up sound levels for the different speakers a breeze. The other reviews will tell you all the wonderful things about this receiver.
Summary: I bought this receiver to replace an older model Yamaha receiver. The new receiver is capable but I learned a few things as I installed it. My old receiver only supported component video and I wanted to upgrade to full 1080P and HDMI. My audio/video components are in our home office and the TV and speakers are in the living room. I pulled wires for outdoor speakers on the patio and 5.1 surround speakers and component video to the living room long ago.
Summary: This receiver has everything I was looking for. It's 105W/ch, 7.1 functionality, and banana plug jacks are what sold me. The setup was very intuitive and as easy as they could have made it. The onscreen GUI for setup and menus is the nicest thing. There is excellent volume control and balancing for all speakers. When an iPod is connected I was surprised to find that you can browse all of the media on the iPod onscreen through the built in GUI of the receiver.
