Summary: Excellent interoperability with Apple TV and Airplay. I love the control app for the iPad/iPhone. In my opinion Yamaha is the best in the business. My other 20-year old Yamaha receiver is still rock solid.
Pros: Solid DSP performance with surround sound. Lowest harmonic distortion. Great value.
Any one seeking near perfection at a good price, consider these.

Summary: this replaced a old receiver from i don't know...maybe 2006? all i know is this receiver has blown me away. It's a little weaker in means of the subwoofer. I've tampered with settings and gotten it to something I do enjoy.
Pros: this Yamaha is really nice, the sound quality is clear and crisp, has lots of options im using some old pioneer satellite speakers and 2 pioneer 100 watt powered subs and they all sound really nice on this receiver i love it so far, i got it on sale for 279.99 :) hopefully this review will help ot...

Summary: This is an excellent receiver. It works with Airplay and also has built in streaming from major music streaming services. You can download apps for Android (also works on BlackBerry 10) and iOS to control the receiver from your smart phone or tablet.
Summary: The sound is great for the budget minded. $300 for the receive and sub, with free shipping. Newegg is tough to beat !
Pros: Setup was easy ... 3.1 in a small living room. HDMI from ROKU, Dish Hopper, and Blu-Ray to receiver, HDMI out from receiver to 55" Samsung TV. I used the included mic to auto adjust the speakers, including the 10" Polk PSW10 sub which was included free with the receiver. I added a refurbished Net...
Cons: When a headphone is in use, the speakers can't be used. Seems common among the newer receivers. Digital (input) sound is not converted to analog (output) on the receiver. My husband is somewhat deaf and he needs to use headphones, but I like listening via speakers. So in addition to the HDMI from...
Summary: Unless you're obsessed with HAVING to have every little bell and whistle that you will never use, this is THE BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK. I bought it through NEWEGG and it came fast and undamaged.
Pros: This receiver has all the options I needed. Plenty of HDMI. It sets itself up extremely easy. Every single function works. I hooked it up via LAN (faster speed than wireless) and it easily recognized my computer. I can access all my folders to listen to music. The internet radio works flawlessly ...
Cons: I didn't get it 11/04/2014 when it was on sale WITH a free Polk subwoofer.
Summary: I have had good luck with Yamaha in the past and this is no exception, great receiver for the money. Loads of hook ups on the back great audio/video. The CD manual is loaded with info, more than the normal consumer will ever use. I had a Pioneer before this one, but glad I switched back to Yamaha.
Summary: This receiver does one thing and does it well. It produces very good sound without distortion or clipping at high volumes. It has enough HDMI ports to handle all my devices, and the pass-through video is flawless.
