Pros: if your hdmi output seems to have died, try this, power off push and hold the straight button on the reciever (not the remote) turn the unit on whilst holding straight button use the program left and right keyus to move the screen over till it says Init cancle, press straight will that says init ...
Cons: the issue was that the system could not complete a full hdmi dchp handshake or something, that some part of the setup the source / reciver / or screen thought that what it was playing was copyright protected or some such, so the receiver cut video.
Summary: Using this amp to drive: (2) Polk Monitor 70 Series II (2) Polk Monitor 40 Series II (1) Polk Monitor CS2 Series II (1) Polk PSW505 The amp drives this setup very nicely at high volumes in an L shaped space, 13 x 11 ft. open into a 10 x 19 ft. space (333 sq. ft).
Pros: Clear sound at high volumes High power per channel for price Good features for price Supports Pandora, Spotify, remote via smartphone app Supports banana connectors Runs relatively cool
Cons: No built in wireless (optional) No built in bluetooth (optional) Single crossover adjustment for all channels (not individual) GUI Interface ugly/basic
Summary: Great all around receiver! I won't rehash all the positives others have explained well. However, I did want to point out a deficiency in the Pandora implementation, as that feature is one of the key reasons I moved up to the 475.
Summary: This is a very good sounding A/V receiver. Everything sounds very clear. Controller is a bit complex but after a while you will learn. Beware if ordering from Amazon Warehouse since there was no YPAO mic in the 'Like New' order.
Summary: Just installed. Everything seems just fine. Love the settings and simplicity. Do not like having to learn details from a CD. Wish they would put in a written manual . Small detail all and all. The physical size could be smaller, but again it is not that big an issue.
Amazing product, unpacked and setup in less then 5 min!

Summary: As usual, Yamaha never ceases to amaze. I ordered this on Tuesday and got it this morning. It was unpacked and setup in less then 5 minutes. Plugged in the YPAO setup utility and my room has never sounded better.
Summary: It's a modern receiver, it links to an iPhone easily for music, the 5.1 matches my speakers,4k ready and plenty of HDMI ports. Here is the funny part the display on your tv, for the internet radio and your music looks like a 1984 Atari screen. And the remote has more buttons than the space shuttle.
