Summary: I would love to give this receiver 5 eggs as it handles everything else great. But 4k not so much. I'd steer clear of this one if you are looking for a 4k capable unit.
Pros: Two eggs cause the unit overall is great for the basic home theater. Plays great. Good GUI as needed.
Cons: When paired with a brand new sony 65" 4K tv and the Sony 4K media player, that's where the problems arise. To watch the 4k content from the media player with no loss, the media player needs to run an hdmi straight to the tv's hdmi input 4 for video. For audio, the sony player has an audio hdmi out that is recommended to plug into your receiver's hdmi input.
Summary: I returned it to the store but I tried to like it as it worked as a home theatre ok but just wouldn't play music serious lack of Yamaha as I remember there amps.!!! I bought two models up & it kicks royal but as a 7.2 & music amp spend more get way more I stuck with Yamaha.!
Summary: This is a cheap receiver so I don't expect too much. Sound was clear but not warm enough to me. Good for watching movies but how long you can enjoy surround effects? Anyway I kept them a week and really try to like it but when HDMI stop working (purple screen), returned to the store. This is not Yamaha quality receiver. Bring back to life my 20 years old Pioneer receiver, just spray a little silicon into potentiometer, and sounds better then new Yamaha RXV475.
