Summary: This is a great product for the money. I needed a new tuner for my system. I replaced the Yamaha receiver I have with this new one to accommodate my new system. One of the best features is that it comes with a mike to adjust and balance my surround sound system. I have a sound meter that used and had to point a each speaker to balance the system. You put this one on a tripod at your seating location and it does all the work for you including the sub-woofer.
Summary: Needed a replacement for an Onkyo SR-606 that got zapped by a lighting strike. Very easy to set up with the on screen menu and the included microphone. The YPAO sound fields are awesome! I can truly specialize the sound to what we're watching. Has plenty of power to go with my H-K home speaker set. Runs warm but not as warm as the Onkyo. Overall an excellent receiver for the price.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Great Sound Fields, Great Sound Quality
Summary: This receiver does exactly what I need it to do. The room I have this in is about 15x17 and it provides plenty of power. I was in the market for a reasonably priced receiver and did not need a lot of bells and whistles. I didn't need to be able to control it with my phone or stream music. I want to watch TV and movies with surround sound, that's it.
Summary: I picked up this receiver after returning a pioneer receiver costing the same price. The sound quality is a lot better, an the f.m. reception is good. I am looking forward to picking up a second Yamaha stereo receiver with more connections on the rear panel so I can do more with it, bi-amp speakers or run two sets of speakers at once.
Pros: Accurate Controls, Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Good Sound At Low Volumes, Great Sound Quality
Summary: I use a Desktop PC w/ tuner card/DVD/ and Amazon Prime for video source, to feed a projector TV with a 120" screen. I deemed it necessary to have better sound and this unit exceeded my expectations. However, it was so difficult to get sound to come through the speakers, I almost returned the unit to the store. Thankfully my neighbor is more tech savvy than I, and he figured out the problem in the options menu. Thank You, Omar.
Summary: I use my RXV375 for everything. I love great sounding audio! It's a perfect match for my 100 watt JBL160sisat home theater speakers. The 3D & 4K pass thru actually improves the 3D video image from 3D movies. The sound is accurate and precise, and depending on your source, can actually get better. Just remember that it's Yamaha's entry level receiver, and it's just that, but a very good entry level receiver! The best in category for my money!
Pros: Awesome 3d Video Audio, Great Sound Quality, Musical Clarity
Summary: After researching features/prices on a new receiver this one stands tall above the rest. My outdated RXV-1400 still puts out the quality sound, but lacked technology. Paired with my Samsung plasma TV and BluRay player this thing really shines. I am quite surprised how clean it sounds with my Paradigm speakers. This receiver has far exceeded my expectations at the price point.
