Summary: Had trouble getting the amp to work with video inputs other than HDMI. Also had trouble with HDMI as well. Changing the volume cut out the video image for 10-15 seconds. Definitely, not user friendly. Should have been easy to with different inputs and outputs but such was not the case.
Summary: i shoulda bought this elsewhere. sure it cost $10 more there but the hassle of dealing with NE/yamaha and getting my refund was not worth the time
Pros: good for the price with plenty of connections, if they work
Cons: i only hook up my PS3 to the HDMI port 1. and it didnt work. tried other HDMI cables and other input such as DVD and laptop into HDMI also. but HDMI port 1 was having issues constantly. so i returned the item to newegg. it costs me an extra $30 to pay for shipping back to NE. the worse part???? N...
Summary: Great unit for audio only. The latency for the video sync is enough for me to return this. Also, it's not my setup. I had a Sony before this that blew out and never had this issue.
Pros: Sounds good for the price
Cons: The biggest issue is the latency on this unit. (Latency is a delay between the time that audio should come out of the unit vs the time it actually plays, measured in milliseconds, for those who don't know ;) ) The first thing that I tested on this receiver was the HDMI pass through. I noticed a s...
Summary: A bothersome quirk we discovered with the Yamaha 373 was that if the receiver is turned on first, and then the cable box and TV is turned on, the TV goes on but immediately turns to a black screen.
Summary: I had an RX440 before, but because of the HDMI I needed to upgrade.I bought the 373, but it is far away of sound quality from the previous. It sounds like no power. My speakers for 4-8ohm, but it seems to be this amplifier cannot drive them. Very low sound even when you put -20db.
